Copy following links to identify timer, and replacement parts, and see wiring illustration:

http://waterheatertimer.org/Intermatic-timers-and-manuals.html#wh

Recommend heavier duty timer, like WH40, if water heater elements, or load, is greater than 4500 watts.

SOURCE: I have the Intermatic T101 24 Hr. The light come

Does the clock stop, or does the light just stay on? Without knowing any further information, you have a tripper that is set for the time to go on...now, you should have one that is set to go off. Make sure you have both trippers set, and working. (ie. set one to go ON at 8:00 pm, and the other to go off at 8:30 pm). If so, then set them to your desired times - and try again.  Also, I'm not sure how long you've had this timer - because you could have a bad motor. If so, it's cheaper to buy a new timer - than try and buy a motor for it. Anyway, try the above information I gave you - and then let me know what happens. Any other information you can give me would be great. I hope the above info. helps you, but if not - we'll try Plan B. Good Luck! - JR

How do i program the above timer?

Here are the instructions:
http://www.intermatic.com/~/media/files/intermatic/products/instructions/timers/t101%20-%20english.ashx

Basically, pull the yellow dial out, rotate the yellow dial until the pointer indicates the current time, then push the dial back in. Set the ON/OFF trippers as desired.

Just installed a T101. Unit will not switch to on position works perfectly to off position. Can it be adjusted.

Yes.

Programming Instructions for the Intermatic T101 - 24 Hr. Dial Time Switch:
1. TO SET ON AND OFF TIMES: Hold trippers agains edge of clock-dial, pointing to time (AM or PM) when ON and OFF operations are desired, tighten tripper screws firmly. For additional tripper pairs on CLOCK-DIAL order 156T1978A.

2. TO SET TIME-OF-DAY: Pull CLOCK-DIAL outward. Turn in either direction and align the exact time-of-day on the CLOCK-DIAL (the time now, when switch is being put into operation) to the pointer. DO NOT MOVE POINTER.

Operating Instructions:
* To operate switch manually: move manual lever below clock-dial left or right as indicate by arrows (graphics) This will not efect next operation.
* In case of power failure, reset clock-dial to proper time-of-day. See Programing Instructions (top lines).

Good luck (reemmber rated this help).
