SOURCE: SD card

Well, to transfer the files from the HDD to the SD card, just take the card out, and connect it to your computer's card reader. If you don't have one, then you can buy one for $10 or less. Then using the supplied USB cable, connect your camcorder to the computer. On the computer, click "View Folder" and then simply copy it from the HDD to the SD card using the computer as a conduit.

SOURCE: card protect

For some reason, the SD card in your camera is being viewed as write protected. There is a small "switch" on the SD card that slides. Slide it up and down a few times and try it again. If that does not work, here is the solution that worked for my camera. Place masking tape (opaque, used for painting) over both positions of the switch. I had to put 2 pieces to make it inflexible. Be sure not to get tape on the metal contact points. I hope this works for you. It fixed mine, although I don't really understand why. If this doesn't work, try a new card.

SOURCE: display says "Protected Card"

Yes. Take your card out and on the side there is a switch that slides. Move it up (on the label there is a lock and it's pointing down) Please rate my answer. I hope this helps!

My bet is that the little switch on the SD card is in the "lock" position. Switch it off and try again...

It says protected card when i turn it on

Look at your memory card. SD and SDHC cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the metal contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card.

Good day,

This is a common problem that many people experience with their SD Cards.
It is normally an easy fix and you can follow a method that I posted on my tips here:

Please feel free to let me know if this was helpful!

SD card Protected

It sounds like the tiny locking switch on the SD card has accidently been set to "lock". Remove the card from the camera and slide the switch to the opposite position. That should do it.
