It seems your device is thinking it has no speakers connected, reconnect teh cable between the device and the subwoofer and make sure it is connected properly.Als chekc all speakercables if they are connected properly and correct (+ on + and - on -).

Dvd player works, but no sound from any speakers

yes, company will charge you, but the best suggestion is to get repaired from the company person.
The normal problems are bad contact of speaker wires and settings of sound from the sound menu. I think you are a genius guy, so you might have checked such things, so now its better to give it to PHILIPS SERVICE CENTRE.

HTS3450 from Phillips, have video but no audio

I have been quite involved with a sound problem in my HTS3450 (search for the topic "sound in only 3 channels"), and I learned that when you are in the setup menu the speaker volume will be greyed out if there is a disc in the tray...remove the disc, wait for the "disc loading" dialogue to switch to "no disc", the try accessing the setup menu again. Other than that I have no advise if you once had proper function after moving the system. Check out my experiences with the cable connecting the sub to the DVD/receiver in my postings. Good luck. Philips HTS3450 sound problem

As I found somewhere on the internet; there are two 470uF/25V capacitors on the power supply board in the sub-woofer that are the cause of buzzing, crackling and then eventually no sound. Go to Radio Shack and buy two Catalog #: 272-1030 470uF/35V capacitors and change them out. They are in the middle of the Power Supply PCB and are close to the long flat aluminum heatsink. Make sure you match the polarity properly when replacing. Your unit will be as good as new and will proibably last forever now.

Buzzing noise

If the sound goes out completely, try hitting the mute button (to mute it) and then hit it again (to un-mute). I've found that this work-around typically gets it working, at least.

Second zone not working

This amp allows you to pick a secondary source for those other rooms. Did you by chance accidentally change it from the "SOURCE" designation that makes room 2 listen to same thing as room 1? Just a thought.
