Ice dispenser won't dispense whole ice cubes, only crushed
I have a Kenmore Refrigerator with an Ice maker part number 25352642300 and it only dispenses crushed ice because the sliding cover won't stay open, I tried to take a look at the Cylonoid in the back but it came loose and I can't get it back together without taking the back cover off, does anyone have a video on how to remove that back cover, thanks.
I found a temporary solution, I moved the bar so that the sliding door stays open and
stuck a piece of cardboard in it so it stays in the open position. I still need to get the
right tools to take the screws off on the side of the back panel because there is not

I understand that the ice maker in your Frigidaire refrigerator, model# FRS23H7CS, is crushing your ice, but will not dispense the crushed ice. It sounds like the dispenser is possibly jammed. Follow the following steps for a possible resolution:
1)The ice has melted and frozen around the auger due to infrequent use, temperature fluctuations, and/or power outages. Remove the ice container, thaw, and empty the contents. Clean the container, wipe dry, and replace it in the proper position. When new ice is made, dispenser should operate.
2)Ice cubes are jammed between the ice maker and the back of ice container. Remove the ice cubes that are jamming the dispenser.
3)Ice cubes could be frozen together. Use the dispenser often so that cubes do not freeze together.
4)The ice cubes are hollow or smaller than normal. The ice & water filter cartridge could be clogged. Replace the filter cartridge. Dispensing system operates best at 20 - 100 psi water pressure. Well water pressures should fall within this range.
If the above does not work, I suggest resetting your appliance, by either unplugging it or shutting the power off at your home's circuit breaker, for 3-5 minutes. Turn the power back on and try dispensing crushed ice. You have a solenoid switch which switches the dispenser back
and forth from crushed to cube. It could be stuck or not working or the parts
connecting it could be disconnected or broken. You will have to observe to see
if any parts are moving and if any noise is coming from the solenoid. With your model number I can find a diagram which may help.
I have a GE TFX25ppbaaa refrigerator. The ice maker corkscrew motor would run and provide crushed ice only. The corkscrew motor would not run when the switch was moved to the cubed ice ( half moon) setting.
I replaced the large Light/ water/ crushed ice/cubed ice switch , ( product service number GEH WR55X129 ) ( part number GE 162D6372 PO17 )and it fixed the problem. Cost was about $43.00.
