Cursor moves by itself on ACER 5315?

I have an ACER 5315 and when I am typing, the curser will move to a different place on the page and I start typing in a different spot before I realize it. What can I do about this? Thanks!

I had the same problem and I realized I was hitting an "F"key from time to time accidentally. My wife had the same problem until she adjusted her hands for longer nails.

Overly sensitive keyboard curser while typing on my Acer Aspire 7551-7422

Sometimes the heat from your hand passing near the touchpad is enough to move the cursor. I hate that too. If it really bothers you then you could always use a wireless mouse and disable the touchpad in "Device Manager"

Make sure that you are not placing the hand on the touchpad while typing.... This might be due to the drivers issue with the touchpad.. Try to unistall the drivers of touchpad from the device manager.. Then install a fresh copy from the dell website(www.support.acer.com).. If the issue is yet to be fixed please contact Acer to replace the touchpad....

The cursor moves by itself during typing. It jumps to a position and I find myself typing in the wrong place.

I have found this is usually the small button in the middle of the keyboard (mouse button) I have tried some software to remove this problem but it did not on my laptop I ended up carefully removing the key board and disconnecting the two wires that go to the button My cursors kept moving across the screen

Press the Windows or Start button on your keyboard, and use TAB, or your down arrows to move to the Control Panel. Use Enter to make a choice, until you get to the cursor.
