Screen is not bright like in advertising photos and the there is a line on the screen shaped a bit like an S . Screen grey one side, black the other.

The watch is brand-new, and you have every reason to expect that it would appear and function correctly. Return the item and ask for refund or replacement.

I just replaced battery since my scren was blank and now all I get as error code 14. What is the problem? How do I fix?

Pull the battery, walk away for an hour + then try again. Sometimes the new battery does not seat right and there is a residual memory issue.

If you continue to get error messages you can either try another battery or you will have to send in to polar. There is a link for the authorized service centers on my tips and tricks page.

I have a beautifule tanzanite ring and the gemstone appears to be dull (not shiny). How can I restore the shine to the surface of the gemstone?

5 minutes in an ultrasonic cleaner or 30 seconds under a steam jet may be all it needs. The dullness is usually caused by body oils attracting dust and dirt. If the stone is actually scuffed it can be polished. Most jewelry stores will clean your rings for free (to get you in the store and tempt you with new baubles) and can buff it with jeweler's rouge and a buffing wheel if needed. DIY cleaners and steamers are available and handy to have if you have regular use for one. My wife has both but prefers the steam jet.

How to spot a fake philip stein watch?

If someone wants to sell it to you for less than $100 then it is probably fake. Have it checked by a reputable watchmaker or take it to a store that sells them and compare. Usually, it is pretty obvious what fakes look like. Don't go by what it says on the face plate. If it looks like a dull finish, that is also a give away. Hope this helps, Good Luck

Best way to clean my rosegold coloured watch ******** my Skagen watch

Unless it is totaly trashed, the best way to keep your watch looking good is to get yourself a jewelers cloth ( rough cloth) which you can buy at alot of jewelry stores, and jewelry departments at bigger stores. The cloth has a rough (a brightening agent) that when you rub it on your watch shines it up like new. Make sure you get a gold jewelers cloth ( not a silver one) since your watch is rose gold coloured) and usually you have to open it up becuse the outside is just a regular cloth and the rough is in the middle of the cloth. The instructions you get with the cloth should tell you how to use the cloth. Good luck!!
