You unit has failed to overheating problems causing the unit to expand and break the internal connection of the video processor to the main board. If under warranty send unit in for replacement. If not you must try to shrink the circuit board back to the normal position. This is a last resort fix. You should have someone experienced to open the unit and see if they can find the bad component or area that needs reconnecting. If they have the right equipment they may be able to reheat the board and straighten it while heating the board with a heat gun. you must protect all plastic parts by covering them with tin foil. You must heat the board in the specific area of the video processor or the the other failing connections. These boards have layers and the solder connections may be hidden from sight in the inner layers. After heating for a few minutes, stop heating and let the unit cool down for a few hours in a straight position. This may or may not work depending on the damage done already. This technique is from repairing intermittent computer boards and video card that have had overheating problems or have been rough handled in shipping and handling. Again i say it does not always work and is a last resort before replacing the unit. You should go on the internet and research this problem before attempting it yourself. There is on video on you tube on this very technique and it worked on laptop computer boards that had intermittent video outputs. Hope this helps you with your problem.

WHITE SCREEN NS-P10DVD11 PLAYER....Plays sounds no picture....Has a 1 year warranty...can i get a replacement..

The fault is with its video processor section. If the set is in waranty period, it will be best for you either get it repaired by its authorised service center, of replaced it by an other one. The second stated will be best, rather than get it repaired as it is new.

Barely visible picture and no sound

2 things the easy fix would be the screen switch is jammed a little circle next to where the door close you will need to pry the switch out and the second fix (your backlight (inverter) is out (better off buying a new unit)

No picture, only sounds when playing DVD

The issue might be that you could be missing some codes to play the dvds.

First i want to uninstall all the codecs from the control panel - add/remove programs.

Then download the latest vesion of klite codec pack with the player.

The link is :

Install this by selecting "lots of stuff" with the player.

Then play your DVD, it will work fine.

Good Luck.

The player is in 4:3 mode (Standard TV mode). There is a button on the deck of the player called MONITOR that will toggle between 4:3 and 16:9 modes.

Press this button.

You can also check to screen geometry in the SETUP menu and make sure it's set to WIDESCREEN.

Use the A/V outs to the composite cable and connect to your Westinghouse A/V jacks.

On the Insignia player, press the Source button until you see A/V OUT on the insignia players screen.

Set your Westinghouse to the A/V input port you have connected the Insignia player to and should have picture and sound.
