SOURCE: I have a 20 year old sub zero side by side model

Good day,
The defrost control on that model could well have failed. If it failed in the defrost mode, then the compressor and condenser fan motor would not run.
The timer is easy enough to remove. Take it to any appliance parts house. A good counter man if you explain the machine is not running could check the contacts that run the compressor.
If it's noisy I would replace it anyway.
If they can't cross the timer, just ask for a replacement with a timing sequence of 8 hours-30 minutes. That means it will run the machine for 8 hours, then shut it off, and defrost it for 30 minutes.

The other possibility is the cold control (thermostat which is located in the fresh food compartment.
That cold control is expensive and labor intensive to replace.
Buy it only if necessary.
However, both items are popular replacement items on your machine.

Does the sub zero model 361 rfd refrigerator have a separate thermostat control for the freezer ?

No, the 361RFD does not have a separate control for the freezer as this unit has a single compressor. The control is located behind the back panel in the refrigerator compartment and the part number is 4201470.

The ice maker won't stop dripping.

Hello,

The problem is going to be the water inlet valve isnt fully closing and seeping water through it all the time. To fix it the water inlet valve would need to be replaced, typically on all Sub-Zero brand refrig's the valve will be up by the compressor in the area above the ref. behind the top grill.

Also while up there replacing the water inlet valve be sure to clean all the dust from the condenser coil as well as replacing the water valve.

I have a 20 year old sub zero side by side model 361RFD. The compressor and condenser fan aren't running. The defrost controller appears to be making a noise and is warm.

Sub zero 532 ice maker

When my repair tech came out, he showed me that the fill tube sometimes retracts toward the rear of the freezer. He simply pulled it forward with a pair of needle nose pliers until it rested in the delivery reservoir. This placement allows the detector to know when the tray is full and shut off; thus not overfilling the freezing tray and/or splashing additional water onto the freezer wall and into the ice cube drawer.
