Check idler wheel and tentsion bracket...it sounds like the lil wheel on the idler arm is wore,,,but also check down the blower housing for anything that might be stuck..

Why does my Frigidare crown dryer runs smooth when starts up, but gets a noise that gets louder the longer it runs it runs

Either your drum bearing or drum felt kit is worn out. It is always better to put drum bearing along with new drum felt kit.

My frigidaire fer231cas2 makes a horrible loud noise after its been running for 10 or so mins

There are rollers that the drum sits on. The roller surface or bearing can go bad causing the noise.

110.c68692700 need to change drum bearing

this model doesn't have a drum bearing. This unit rotates on drum support rollers which are like little wheels. You can look them up at
http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/index.action and order from there if needed. Noise such as squealing can also come from the idler pulley assembly. You might want to replace the entire "full service" kit. That comes with support rollers, idler asmy., and drum belt.

GE dyer DWSR483EG3WW is making a ginding noise on the fron right side (looking at dryer). I have replaced the four slides. It sounds fine for about 3 min, then the noise starts. Could the back bearing...

Hello Donna, it's hard to say without physically seeing it for myself, but I would say that you might need to replace the front bearing. Not just the slides, but the half moon looking piece that you put the slides on. They are easy to replace.
http://www.do-it-yourself-washing-machine-and-dryer-repair-help.com/drum-support-bearing-GE-dryer.html this will help with the front bearing.

You should also check the rear bearing while you're at it. It can cause a bunch of problems as well.
You will be able to tell if it's worn by looking at it. You will however, need to pull the drum forward off of the rear to get to it. You dont have to remove the drum, just prop it up with a piece of wood while you look at the bearing. They are easily replaced as well. I would think that between the two, that should solve your problem. The rear bearing when worn, usually causes a squeeking sound. If the dryer is getting to the point where things are wearing out. It's always a good idea to check the others too.
this should help with the rear bearing....

Also, a parts list with diagrams:

I hope this helps you out. I will be happy to assist you further if you need it. I'm always happy to help. thanks,

Mike

My hotpoint cdt00 tumble dryer makes a loud banging noise on each rotation what is causing this

It is probably a worn rear drum bearing, remove cover of drum shaft, and examine the drum shaft for wear.

Hotpoint tumble dryer is making loud scraping noise like the drum is catching against one the panels

This sound is caused by the drum tilting towards the rear panel just above the heating element housing and is due to the drum spindle wearing through the bearing. (Which can lead to it shearing off) after it`s cut it `s way into the bearing support bracket. A new rear bearing kit is needed. it will come with a foam support which is stuck on to the inside of the back panel as the drum rests against this when turning. the foam support on your dryer may have perished or gone flat due to the heat from the element and that is why your hearing the scaping sound. new foam ring from the bearng kit will cure the scraping.
