I put or am trying to put a sony cdx-l510x cd player in my truck but i am not clear on the wire diagram i found on the computer. When i hooked it up i had power to the cd player but no sound was coming out through any of the speakers. I connected all my speaker wires to gether and the sound came out of one but you could hardly hear it at all. Does this cd player need an amp? or something because everything i have tried is not working.
It doesn't need an amp, it has one built into the radio. You may have it wired wrong. Please tell me what color the wires are coming from the radio that you have connected to the speakers. Each channel has it's own color, with the black stripe wire being the negative for each channel. Example: the gray wire is positive for front left speaker and the grey with a black stripe is the negative for the front left. Make sure that none of your speaker wires are grounded to the chassis.

you may want to check and see if you are getting power to both the red and yellow wires. it almost sounds like you may not be getting power to the red wire.
Look in the phone book under PRO CAR AUDIO and any one of them will prolly havem in stock unless you have like a 83 caddy with the BOISE entertainment system.
You should check with Car Toys or Best Buy but you will probably need an adaptor and a wiring harness. If your doing it yourself your going to need to know how to get the stock radio out and the wiring diagram for the Aveo. Sometimes you can find the wiring diagram on Google by searching for it but usually finding diagrams for 2008 vehicles takes a year or two before it becomes available.
If your CD player has a tuner in it already you shouldn't need one. If it doesn't have one, that presents some other options.
