I have a GPX D1816 DVD player that I would like to enable it to allow me to connect my television to the internet so that I can watch netflex televions shows.

I check GPX D1816 - DVD player Specifications but didn't see an Ethernet or wireless connection(so you can stream down video). If it did then you can use RCA/HDMI cable to connect this to a TV.

What chanel do i put tv on to watch dvd movies

Hi,
You are trying to work out how to watch a DVD movie on your TV
The DVD should be connected to your TV with Audio Video cables.
And it will most likely be connected to AV1 on your TV
The easiest way to find out would be to
  • Put a DVD in the Player and press play
  • Now the TV is probably in channel mode, so find the button on the TV remote that says TV/AV
  • now press this button TV/AV and it will scroll from TV channel to AV1, AV2 etc until you see the DVD picture.

I hope this helps you.
If so please leave a vote or comment.

Have a great day

Just moved, hooked up DVD player to new TV. Sound

if you have a picture on the tv from normal channels and/or cable, then i would suspect the scart lead may have a bent pin at one end or both or is not inserted fully.

Can not install to telivision, need help with wire connections,do not know what hookups go where lost manual, have three connections on wire, red, yellow and white, where do they go on dvd player and to where...

This is very simple
First on the back of your dvd player there should be the holes with the same colors as the cable you have, yellow (video in) in the yellow, red (left audio) in the red e.t.c.
Then either on the side or the back of your tv there should be the same sorta thing, depends if you have a HD TV or a regular freeview/analog tv. With hd there should be green blue red white and yellow, just the same as the DVD player, plug the cables into the right colors as i said,
Same goes for the regular TV, just do exactly the same as you have done with the dvd player,
Switch your channel to dvi or av1/2/3 and your dvd player should be working

Code for multi region free

I figured out the code, it's printed incorrectly many places.

1 - Turn on DVD Player
2 - Press Open/Close button - open tray
3 - Press "8888"
4 - Put a DVD in the tray (from outside your region)
5 - Press Open/Close button - close tray
6 - Voila! It plays!

Works on mine!

Hooking it up

Easy, just match up color codes from tv to dvd player. If you only have red, yellow and white, they should coincide wih the TV as some TV's dont have the 5 color jacks R/W/G/B/Y inputs. If they do, use the colorstream or "comp" input on the TV
