Question about Pentax Optio S Digital Camera
Dropped the camera and the outer two rings (one with writting & one all black) that cover the lens mechanics popped off. No damage to camera operations; works fine.
Are these supposed to rotate and cover the front element of the lens when it's turned off? It appears that there is some slight movement of some small pieces on the exposed surface when turning power on/off.
Have snapped them back on, but they do not move when powered off. Worried about hurting the lens operation mechanics if the rings are imporpperly seated.
Thoughts, opinions, suggestions?
I'd be most happy to share with you how I solved my problem with the Pentax Optio S. It took a bit of clever 'problem-solving' thought and inspection. After suddying the design of each piece and the working components of the exposed lens area, I was able to identify which sections worked together appropriately.
And, I think it appropriate at this time that I ask you to purchase one of my plans in order to receive the full benefit of what I learned from my skillful thinking and examination, and thereby successfully repaired my camera.
I look forward to hearing from you.
