SOURCE: TDI loss of power

If all checks out good on the turbo, could be Cat. Converter. Does the car have a lot of miles? Are you getting a Code"engine light"? if so, take to an auto parts place to read code, should do it for free.

SOURCE: Nordictrack motor will not run when start button is pushed.

Likely the cover of one of the motor brushes popped off. Unplug the machine before you pop it back in place, then try it again.

If that doesn't work, most likely it's the motor control board, or possibly the console, or finally just a loose connection behind the console.

But most likely, it's the motor brush cover. I've been seeing that alot with this model.

My flood lights have a manual function so that I can wire a light switch to them and use them with switch as well as a motion detector. However the users manual does not provide instructions or diagra

you need to either break the circuit going to the light, so find the wire that powers the light & cut it where you want the switch, then join the black wires together & put the reds in each end of the switch.
or the way you asked about, which will depend on what your light has in the of terminals in the conection box.
ill do you a drawing..........

flood-lights-manual-function-wire-light-kh0zpbanw2f22f2jnqn4pytl-4-0.jpg so take the red out of its terminal in the back of the light, put it in its own conector or a spare one thats already in the light, might be labeled (manual function) then run one 2 core/ twin & earth wire to where you want your switch to be, & then wire it up like the picture, red in com black in either l1 or l2..
go back to the light & take the red of your new wire & put it in the same terminal as the one i just told you to take out, then put the black from your new wire & put it where the red wire was to start with.
your live could be either red or brown depends on the cable used.
check your swith aswell b4 screwing it to the back box, to make sure you put it the right way up,nothing more anoying than an upside down
good luck!

Hi Leann: Think about how a sewing machine works. Now think about what kind of difference an 1/8th of an inch distance would make. Yes. You will need to adjust your top tension when you do free motion work. Keep in mind that plate is not just stopping your feed dogs from working... it's holding your materials that far away from the bed of the machine... so when the thread makes a loop and tightens for the stitch it has the extra 1/8th of an inch to make up for... if the tension isn't right... you got loops. There are no "specific" settings for tensions... you learn by doing you stitch a few stitches on like materials and tighten until you see a good stitch.

1999 Ford Escort ZX2 won't start

It's called the clutch start switch. Yes, it could be bad or needs adjustment.

Push the clutch in and the switch closes contact, so power flows from the ignition switch start position to the clutch switch and on to the starter motor-well, actually to the starter solenoid on the starter motor. If you have a voltmeter or test light, you can test the clutch switch . A red and white wire to it and a red wire from the switch to the starter solenoid. When this wire gets to the solenoid, it is a black wire with red stripe. It should have voltage when key is held in start position and the clutch pedal is depressed.

Help me with my 1993 chevy cavalier 2.2L engine. My car won't turn on when ignition switch is in the on position. When I turn it to the on position, my radio cuts on, and my air conditioner turns on,...

what do you mean by "dash lights"? how do you KNOW the pump isnt working? how do you KNOW its good? at the ignition switch the ORANGE and PINK should have power in the RUN position the BROWN and TAN/WHITE should also be HOT in the run position. There should be a red wire near the fuel pump relay, make sure its HOT when cranking. IF its HOT and the fuel pump doenst run, the pump is bad. You can also put 12V on that red wire and power the pump.

Freemotion treadmill incline not going all the way

The problem is either in the lower control board or the lift motor. I would start by replacing the lift motor. Then if that does not fix it, replace the lower control board.

Just replaced the motor controller on my treadmill (Nordic Track Commercial 1500) but it still does not generate any speed to the belt. I still have power. Display works fine, incline works find, just that...

You have one of three things wrong. Either a bad console, bad motor or a bad wiring harness.
If you have a flashing light on the controller when you attempt to start the machine then you more than likely have a bad motor. (this has a long warranty may be able to get one for free, check the back of your manual)
If there is no flashing light on the console then you will need to check the wire harness. This unit is known for pinching wires at the lower section where the upright connects to the lower frame. To check this you will need to remove the console. Three screws on each side and the wire harness on the right side will need to be unplugged. Then remove the right upright by removing the two bolt located on the bottom of the frame. Then do a visual inspection for pinched wires especially where the upright connects to the lower frame.
If the harness looks ok then you will more than likely have a bad console.
If you need parts you can go to
Good Luck! Tim
