This heater will turn on (the on light comes on) but does not emit any heat. The fan also does not turn on.

The heater is turned on. All lights are on. The fan isn't running. No heat is coming out. It was working earlier in the day.


did it get set on its side, there is a saftey switch inside to kickout the heating element if its knocked over, unplug it, pick it up and turn it around at different angles, return upright, shake gently, plug in and see if it puts out heat

your blower motor is trying to seize up on you, it is time to change it, if the fan doesn't come on first your water heater should not light, the fan comes on first to get eccess gasses out of the burner compartment,, do not light with ot the fan first it could combust
