Static electricity from adirondack chairs

depending on the feet there can be some rubber feet you can put on these plastic seat's this will stop the static build up in the plastic, also this can help dont leave the seats out in the sun wash them before use (water will remove the static) also dont were any wooly cottons when you use the seat's as the static from you clothes can build up in the seat. hope this helps. other thing you can do is make a grounding copper strip from the seat to the ground but this would not last long as the chair moving and bending.

Clicking noise on jet3 chair about every 5 feet tech guy said may need grease is there a plug on top for grease

Hi sounds like a gearbox issue, could be dry but then ask the question why every five feet, think of the gears and the amount of movement required, could be a tooth missing or damaged, is it possible to get the wheelchair on it's side to find out what motor is clicking ?

Please NOTE: take care here.... i don't suggest for one minute you do this alone, and powering the scooter while on it's side must be done with care.... just jack one side up somehow and power the chair then do the other side .... once again taking extreme care when carrying this out... you will need help...

How do I keep my dining room chairs from scraping my parquet floors?

You have a few options to keep you chairs form scrappingyour floor. Although not necessarily astaticallypleasing, you could put an area rug under your table and chairs. The most popular remedy is little plasticdiscs that use self-adhesive to attach to the legs of the chair. You can also get "fabric backed coaster cups"which are little bits of fabric that are attached to the legs. The other option is clear plastic mats thatthe chairs sit on top of (like for swivel chairs in offices.)

Our father ordered a 600 series chair in 2008. Shortly thereafter he was perminently admitted to a nursing home. We are required to disposed of all our parents assets to pay for the care. When trying...

The chair uses an offboard charger if you are missing the cable that plugs into the wall then any computer type plug will work you should also be able to find one at WalMart. The chair was probably worth $4000.00 paid for by Medicare. Now some nursing homes will allow power chairs and if they have some clients with power chairs at the your Dads home then they have to allow your Dad to use his and to maintain it ie replace batteries etc. if they don't try donating the chair to a local charity or to a provider to use as a loaner chair when working on others chairs. If you donate it to a person then they have to pay for repair costs and repairs can get rather pricy for motors, joysticks, wheels, batteries etc

If you want to you cn e-mail me at and I'll give you more info

Hope this helps

This cable for the Quickie 525 Q-tronix electronics is made by Penny and Giles electronics. It is called a Redel cable and comes in lengths of 3, 4, and 5 feet. It is available from Quickie and Pride and probably available to retail customers from The Aftermarket Group or Wheelchair Wizard.
