Question about PANDIGITAL (DPF802) Digital Picture Frame

Open Question

No sound files play on my digital memoryframe

I load the sound files and the computer says the files are alreay there if I try to load them again but no sound comes out when I push the play button. When I go into the sound memory it shows that there are files there but there are no names on the files like there are on the visual files.

SOURCE: unable to load more than ~50MB into df780 digital picture frame

I had the same problem on a 128 mb memory. I figured out that it can only load a certain # of objects/files. So I started from scratch, and I created a new folder in the pandigital and copied all the files/photos/mp3's into that 1 folder. Thus 1 object. I was able to fill the entire capacity after that. I can't believe I actually helped solve one! I hope it works for you...

My sound is real funny like chipmunk sounds

If the pitch of the sound being played by your computer speakers has changed dramatically or songs and videos are playing faster or slower than they typically should be, the problem is with the sound speed on your computer. This could mean a hardware issue with your speakers or sound card or a software issue with the program that you're using to play a digital media file.

Double-check your speaker connections. If one of the audio cables that runs off of your speakers isn't plugged correctly into your computer, this could cause the audio coming from them to speed up or slow down. Make sure all cables are properly connected to their proper inputs and try to play your audio again. Update the driver for your computer's sound card. Go to the website of the company that made your sound card and look for your unit's product page. Under the "Support" section, click on the download link for the latest device driver. Once the file is on your computer, double-click on it to install it. Then restart your computer and try to play your audio again. Make sure you haven't accidentally sped up or slowed down the media file you are trying to play. Many digital media programs like iTunes or Windows Media Player have features that allow you to play a song or video in slow or fast motion. If this becomes accidentally selected, the audio will also be in slow or fast motion. Click "Stop" to stop your media file from playing and then click "Play" again to allow it to play normally. Restart your computer. This will free up system memory when your computer restarts. If your sound was playing too slow or too fast due to an error with not having enough memory to play properly, that error will now be fixed and your sound should return to normal speed. Hope this helps.

I need the instruction manual for Pacific Digital MemoryFrame PV-1, 5.7"? Any ideas?

I would try going out to the manufacturer website and looking around. They will probably have it or at least let you have it for a nominal fee if you ask.

Won't play all songs

Possible that the files have been saved inthe wrong way. If you have them again in the PC , delete off all the files you had sent, format th device or erase off all files, scan for any virus in the device before loading back the music files with the PROPER METHOD OF COPY AND SAVE, USE THE RECOGNISED PROGRAM for the ipod- the ones the songs are playing presently. Helpful? good day

Your sound card might be in use by another application.
