I mhave a whirlpool cabrio 6600 and makes a terrable sound when spinning

By experience it's the bearings on the shaft. The old seal leaks allowing water from the drum onto the bearings which eventually drys them out. The new replacement seal works better. It's do able but time consuming. approx. 5 hrs. Instead of posting the entire process, go on "Youtube" and search for your model. Cost of parts and bearing tool, $150. To remove the drum, I use a 21"- 2"X 4" on the inside of the top of the drum and a scissor jack to lift it off of the shaft. It's all on 'Youtube". Just to let you know, Maytag wants to sell you the whole drum and shaft together, $500. I would advise you to purchase the bearing tool with the kit. It makes life a lot easier. Purchase both from your local parts supplier.

Why is water leaking from the bottom of the the washing machine?could the drum be to full?

It could be a bad tub seal, hole in a hose, or even the drain pump.
I would need your model number to be able to tell you how to check these parts.

I had a clog in the pump filter, pump assembly fine cleared it all, now the drum is knocking in the spin mode and there is water leaking, not from pump. I read about the counter weights, the shocks seem...

This can be related to a tightness in the spindle shaft that makes the motor spin the whole drum together. so this also seems to be the leak in the system. So check the shaft, the bearing assembly the water seal in the drum shaft.
You might have to reset and overhaul this section for the fault to clear off.
If the shocks are good the counter weights should work fine unless there is a mechanical damage on the chassis.

Possible leak from the spindle shaft of the agitator. It will good to have a close look while the drum works so as to locate the point of leak.
If this is from any hose or joints , it can be taken out and reset. If not the water seal can be loose and must be taken out and changed. ---- the bearing assembly unit .

Hotpoint WMA30 is leaking a small amount of oily water from the back of the drum when in use. There is a small hole in the back of the drum, should there be a screw in this hole that has fallen out?

Thwater is leaking because the shaft seal has worn, and the hole is supposed to be there as it is a drainage hole.
The outcome will be that the main drum bearings will eventually fail as the water will get into the drum bearings.
To replace the seal involves a complete strip down of washer. not a job to be undertaken by yourself, unless you know what you are doing.

Water leaking under washer but no appearance of leaking from hoses

water seal inside washer drum may be damaged, causing water to come out along drum shaft.

If there is water leaking then you need to repalce both bearings and the seal that sits around the drum shaft and protects the bearing. Check the brass collar on the drum support thats sits in the bearing is not worn or grooved. If it is the shaft and/or the drum need replacing too
