Question about Frigidaire Gallery GLWS1339EC Top Load Washer

I have a Frigidaire Gallery 13 cycle commercial HD super capacity washer and it will not change cycles automatically. Is this something I can fix myself?

The cycles have to be changed by manually turning the knob.

Yes, you can fix this yourself very easy. You will need to replace the "timer". Here is the part you need to order. To install the timer, you will need to remove the back cover on the control panel and gain access to the timer. Then remove the knob from the timer and release the tab holding the timer in place. Slide the old timer out of the unit once the tab is released and unplug the wires going to it. Re-install with the new timer in reverse order.

SOURCE: I have a Frigidaire heavy duty 8 cycle super

there is something blocking the pump.you will need to remove the two screws at the bottom of the front panel ten use a flat tip screwdriver to push the tabs in on the front to lift the lid. once you remove the front panel you will be able to see the drain pump.
if you have a wet dry shop vac then you can use it to attach to the end of the drain hose.and remove the water once the water is removed take off the hoses to the pump and check for obstructions.
make sure to check the hose that come from the bottom of the tub to the pump. once you have cleared and obstructions you can put the unit in a drain mode and check the impellar wheel if it still does not work then you may have a faulty lid switch.

That sounds like a failed mechanical timer. Replacing that should solve your problem.

Frigidaire Gallery washer won't produce final high spin

Hey friend, thank you for your post!
I see that your Frigidaire washer, FWT449GFS2 is not entering the final high spin cycle. It is possible that you could have a defective motor or timer. Since it could be any one of these underlying issues I would recommend you having a professional come out to the home for the repair of your washer. -Matt

I have a frigidaire washing machine and it spins out just a small amout of water during the cycle, not a lot , have checked the pump and it works, just wondering if it could possibly be the lid lock

It would not agitate if it were the lid lock, just as agitation should stop when you open the lid during cycles. More likely it's something blocking the drain hose. Here is a link to an excellent online repair manual. Click on the picture of the wash machine, then go to chapter 2. Then have a look at Section 2-3.
