Question about Bar Maid Corporation Washing Machines
Just recently, I'd purchased a used Bar Maid Mo-50 from Ebay, which works great. The only exception is that the cord is wrapped with electrical tape towards the motor. The question is whether or not I can replace the old cord with a new one from my local appliance and parts store. Presently, the motor draws 115 volts at 60 hz, phase 1 at 740 watts and 10.0 amps. Frankly, I can't see why I should buy a new grounded plug from the manufacture.

is the washer noisey when spinning? If so its probable that the main bearings are worn, & losing the original grease into the wash tub. At 10-14 yrs old its probably not woth fixing (assuming parts are still available)

I need to know if the motor came with a wiring diagram when it was purchased or did it just come by itself. You may have to learn how to read the wiring diagram that is stored inside the control panel.

Check the coupling.
This is a direct drive, no belt. There is a coupling between the motor and the transmission.
You remove the whole outside cabinet.
Two screws on each end of the control panel will let this panel flip back out of the way then remove the two brass clamps on each side. Unplug the wires in the center and the whole cabinet will come off.

I see bench grinders for about ten or twenty dollars at the flea markets all the time. They also have the $$ grinding wheels on them.
