No Audio on Jensen UV8

Installing new Jensen UV8 in a 2004 Suburban, using GM 2000 wiring harness.
No audio!!! Nothing, no noise, no static, nothing. Checked the wiring, looks good.
Not using the Blue or Blue/White as I don't have a motorized antenna or external amplifier. Not using brown or orange either.

Ideas???

Speakers stopped workin in a 2000 Suburban

If you have a non-original stereo, there may be inline fuses in the wire harness leading to the stereo. Look under the dash with a flashlight and see if you can find the harness. Alternatively, you can pull the stereo from the dash and look at the wires that way.
The speakers can be checked by using a 1.5 volt battery. Unhook the speaker wires from the back of the stereo. Then, using jumper wires, MOMENTARILY connect the battery to each pair of speaker wires. If the speaker is good, you will hear the speaker cone move (it will make kind of a scratching noise) as the battery is connected.
If the speakers check out, and you are SURE that the stereo is receiving power and ground at all the correct points, then I'm afraid that your stereo is likely damaged.

I have a 2004 Hyundai Elantra and am trying to install a stereo but dont know what the wiring diagram is..any help?

Personally owning this car and installing several Hyundai stereo's, I would purchase a wiring harness kit from car audio shop or electronics retailer. The wire harness has a plug that connects to the cars wiring harness. This wiring harness kit will also list the wires to connect your new aftermarket radio to the harness. I would also recommend using crimped **** connectors to attach the two harnesses together.

Radio wiring harness jensen to jeep

Hello rickscarpell,

As far as I know there are no head unit specific to vehicle specific wiring harnesses at all. The aftermarket receiver will have it's own manufacturer supplied plug which most installers pair up with a vehicle specific wiring harness. There are some dealers that will mate the 2 for you providing a plug in solution. One in particular, www.installer.com, in Houston, TX, would solder and heat shrink any 2 harnesses together for about $25. But for the last few days, their website seems to be down. I'm not sure if they have closed up shop or what.

Hope this helps.

Rear Speakers and audio controls no longer work.

Remove your "new" heated gear harness, test functionality of audio. When installing the heated gear run new power and ground wires. Unless installing HD items and directed to use existing circuit. Good troubleshooting practice, if it nolonger works undo what you did then move forward after it works again. Hope this helps.

My uv8 wont eject my disk

I suggest you disassemble the radio and take it out that way. While your in you can check on the blockage. Shouldn' t be hard. Good luck.

The UV8 needs to use The Pink wiere to play an CD audio?

I got through to tech support. For problem of no audio from DVD or CD (can only hear radio), reverse the Blue wire (power antenna) and the Blue/White wire (external power amplifier). This should solve the problem.
