SOURCE: I have an old 1973 Mac 1199 Intertherm propane furnace

Replace the fan limit switch. It is sometimes mounted in the ductwork and sometimes just below the ductwork in the furnace cabinet. Note where the little arrows are pointing to on the temperature scale so you can set the new control to the same as the old. Usually this control is made by Honeywell and may have three wires going to it.

SOURCE: Furnace comes on for 1 min then kicks off, repeats this cycle

MY FURNACE WOULD RUN FOR ABOUT TWO MINUTES , THEN THE BURNER WOULD GO OUT BUT THE BLOWER WOULD CONTINUE TO RUN , LONG ENOUGH TO COOL THE FAN LIMIT SWITCH DOWN , THEN IT WOULD START THE PROCESS ALL OVER. WHAT FIXED MY PROBLEM WAS THE SECONDARY HEAT EXCHANGER THAT IS LOCATED JUST ABOVE MY BLOWER MOTOR WAS PLUGGED WITH DIRT , WHICH RESTRICTED THE AIR FLOW , CAUSING THE FAN LIMIT SWITCH TO REACH 200 DEGREES AND SHUT THE BURNER DOWN . YOU'LL HAVE TO TAKE THE BLOWER MOTOR OUT TO GET TO IT , BUT MY FURNACE IS RUNNING PERFECT NOW

SOURCE: My diesel burner on my pressure washer smokes real

HI, here is a few pointers that may help you ,

  1. if the smoke is white , that usually indicates water in the diesel, empty fuel tank and replace/clean the fuel filter
  2. if the smoke is black that indicates excess diesel or unburnt fuel , normal fuel pump pressure is around 8 to 9 bar (you will need a gauge to check this ), another cause is often failure of the fuel nozzle to correctly atomise the fuel (remove nozzle and clean (a small sintered fuel filter inside this )
  3. the burner electrodes should have a blue angry looking spark across them ,when checked (BE VERY CAREFULL WHILST DOING THIS as in effect you have a flame thrower ), usual gapping distances are around 6 mm
  4. the electrodes should be sharp pointed and not rounded or pitted
  5. a final cause is commonly a leaking fuel solenoid which can cause fuel to drip into the burner/heating coil assembly ( replace the solenoid
as you can see this can often be a complex and dirty job to repair and it might be better to contact a local service agent in your area .

On my brute 2500 psi pressure washer when I let go of the trigger it kills the motor. I changed the unloader valve and still does it . Any suggestions? Thanks


Excessive pressure can stall out a motor. Try reducing by adjusting unloader valve. Clockwise turn will increase pressure, counter clockwise turn will reduce.

I would like a karcher instruction manual for a HDS650 pressure washer


I believe the HDS sends spark to the ignitor any time the machine is on ( hot or cold) You should hear the crackle of the ignitor in the burner area. Perhaps the ignitor rods are not properly aligned. Perhaps your ignitor coil is bad. There are several safety switches and the thermostat that would keep the burner from firing if they are bad. There is a pressure switch that turns on and off the motor for hot or cold operation. That is apparently working. I think there is a flow switch that turns off the burner. The thermostat might not be opening and closing contacts and that will keep the burner from working. I believe there is a high temperature safety switch as well.

I have a Clarke King 100 hot wash with a wiring problem please can you help with the 3 connections from the pressure switch ?


the pressure switch is so the burner goes off when you stop squeezing the gun, there are only 3 different combinations wire1 and wire 2, wire 1 and wire 3, wire 2 and wire 3, it does not matter which way you connect them. You will know when it is correct as the burner will only work when the gun is squeezed and water is coming out of the lance nozzle at high pressure.

I have a Landa 4-3500 from my diesel exhaust everything seemed fine then black smoke started coming out then eventually it stopped turning off the burner, there is still diesel in the tank, any...


The issue with the black smoke could be a number of different things, the fuel filter could be bad, the air to fuel ratio on the burner system could be off and needs to be adjusting, this is difficult to do if you have never worked on a system like this before.

The issue with the burner not turning off would have to do with the pressure switch, flow switch or the thermostat. With a pressure washer like this the power in the electrical system will run through these different items and either say light or don't light. More than likely if your burner is staying on though it is going to be the flow switch that is sticking, I am not the most formular with the system that they have on this machine but that is the first thing I would check.

Near the spade terminals, the rear housing should be marked #1 and #2. Some aftermarket housings are not marked and others may be worn off. So if your alternator housing is unmarked, look from the rear of the alternator: the #1 terminal is on the left and the #2 on the right. You only need an ignition wire to the #1 terminal to make an Si series alternator work. The #2 terminal is for voltage sensing, and is optional. The #2 voltage sensing terminal allows the voltage regulator to sense the battery voltage so it knows when to turn the alternator on and off. The #2 terminal, if it is not used, causes the regulator to revert to internal sensing and pick up the battery voltage at the main battery wire on the back of the alternator. Some alternators are wired with a jumper from the #2 terminal directly to the battery connection at the back of the alternators, but this is not needed.

My cd player dose not work. i put cd in and it reads check cd brand new cd but wont read it


the reader may have dirt on it or may be out of alignment.Get a can of cleaning spray from radio shack that is approved for electronics and lightly spray any dirt of the sensor

I disconnect the battery from my truck and when i turn on the truch my stereo get lock and i want a know what can i do to unlock my stereo


Is this a radio based on security for GM radios from the 90's with the special code? Look in an owners manual for specifis instructions. If you go fishing for a code, you have the potential of totally disabling your radio. You must follow the specific instructionf for this radio. My Chevy has the same - trust me when I say dont go fishing for the code!

Your radio is made by SIEMENS/VDO/DELCO and unfortunately DELCO codes are not obtainable for free (using the Serial Number) from anywhere on the Internet as access is required to the original factory database which is only available to the Main Dealer or one the larger professional Decode Services.
The alternative is for your radio to be taken/posted to a Decode Service or your local Car Radio / Audio Shop who will plug it into a laptop and electronically read/recode the memory chip (EEPROM)
