My computer no longer recognizes my nikon coolpix L5.

ALTERNATE WAY TO TRANSFER PHOTOS TO COMPUTER
If your photos are stored on the memory card, then remove the memory card from the camera and insert it into an USB memory card reader. Connect this USB memory card reader and memory card into the USB port of your working computer. Your computer will see this as an USB Mass Storage Device or an external storage device; you can then open the folder on the memory card and copy the photos to your computer. Memory card reader is a handy device and is inexpensive. You can copy photos from other cameras and you can also download photos off your memory card to someone else's computer without the need of installing any programs.

How to upload photo

Transferring images from a Memory Card to a Windows Computer Follow the steps below to transfer images from a memory card to a computer running Windows. Step one: Insert the memory card Follow the steps below to insert the memory card into the HP All-in-One.
  1. Turn the memory card so that the label faces left, and the contacts are facing your HP All-in-One.
  2. Insert the memory card into the appropriate slot on the HP All-in-One.
NOTE: Some portable USB flash drives with a read-only partition, such as U3 smart drives, might be incompatible with the front mass-storage port on your HP All-in-One. These read-only partitions are added by the drive manufacturer and may include utilities and other software. Refer to the manufacturer for additional details about your drive. When the memory card is inserted correctly, the Photo light next to the memory card slots begins to blink. The message Reading... appears on the color graphics display. The status light next to the memory card slots blinks green when the card is being accessed. If a memory card is inserted incorrectly, the status light next to the memory card slots blinks amber and the color graphics display shows an error message such as Card is in backwards or Card is not fully inserted. CAUTION: Never attempt to remove a memory card while it is being accessed. Doing so can damage files on the card. Safely remove a card only when the status light next to the slots is not blinking.
Step two: Transfer images without using the HP Photosmart software After inserting the memory card into the HP All-in-One, the memory card appears as a drive on the computer. Follow the steps below to transfer the images on the memory card to the computer.
  1. Press the Photo button to display the Photo menu.
  2. Press the down arrow button (c01133817.jpg ) to select Transfer to computer .
  3. Follow the prompts on the computer to complete the transfer of images.
NOTE: If there are photo files on the memory card that have never been transferred before, a dialog box on the computer asks whether you want to save the photo files to the computer. Click the Transfer option and all the new photos from the memory card are saved to the computer.By default, the image files are saved in month and year folders depending on when the photos were taken. The folders are created under the C:\Documents and Settings\username\My Documents\My Pictures folder.

I have an A 520 polaroid digital camera with a memory disc in it. I took pictures on it and want to download the pictures onto my computer. When I insert it in the drive nothing happens. what is wrong?

You mean SD card, right? You can insert the SD card into a card reader and then access the card from the disk driver letter that is assigned to it. Simply open My Computer (if Windows) and check the drives.

But you can also use a USB cable to connect the camera to your computer. Using the Picassa program from Google, it is very easy to transfer the photos to your PC.

Memory stick is only saving one photo rather than the file. What

Hello,
Make sure you are selecting all of the photos to copy over. This happens to me sometimes, and even though it seems like it should be copying them all, it only copies one.
Hope this helps!

Photo transfer from memory card to acer one laptop

hey! u r stuck to such a simple problem. well not to worry when i'm here.
first of all u check whether ur card is locked??? Check the sides of the card and u will find a small slider, slide it down and then insert into ur card reader.
then open My computer, there u will find written removable drive beside the cd drive or so. open it and u will find ur photos. then single right click on any of the photo, a pop-up menu will appear, select to 'copy' option and then open the drive where u want to paste ur photo, and there again single right click and select 'paste'. and guess what ??? it's done!
hey dude, never forget to rate me!!!!

Not reconizing photo card

Try uninstalling the device and searching for new hardware. If that doesn't work try installing the latest drivers/firmware.

My memory card

If you are downloading them via a printer, make sure the printer (like an epson) is on and ready before you insert the card. More info needed about what you are using to download.
