Dis assembly and Repair of a Fellowes paper shredder - YouTube
My fellowes paper shredder stripped a gear. Here I open it up and fix it with out needing to buy replacement parts.
Office shredders, even the heavy-duty ones, tend to jam up over time and have to be cleaned up to restore operation. If you have removed all jammed paper bits and still get erratic operation, the shredding process may have bent or broken some internal parts. It is not economically practical to try to repair. Better to buy a replacement.
Personally I would upgrade and would buy cross cut for better results and to prevent from this happening to the new unit regularly lubricate the feed opening.
To replace gears isn't difficult. The tricky part is finding the right replacement.
Best of luck
