Cannot change to fahrenheit

Most instruction manuals are confusing but generally, if you can get into menu, settings, and scroll through the options, a temperature setting will show up somewhere and then the option to change from celcius to fahrenheit. Go through the info you have now, slowly and step by step. Even Technicians get confused with poor info books. lol

My baking is set on celcius instead of farenheit.

sorry i dont know how to switch it for you but i do know how to convert c to f
Degrees c times 1.8 plus 32 equals f temp
Example 100c is boiling point so 100 times 1.8 equals 180 add 32 to that equals 212

zero degrees c is freezing point
zero times 1.8 is 0 plus 32 is 32
200 times 1.8 is 360 plus 32 is 392 ect ect ect

Without any operator known input, temp registers in celcius, cannot change

If the model number is correct, the temperature can be set for Celsius or Farenheit by pressing and holding the CUSTOM BROIL button for 5 seconds. A beep will be heard and the range will switch modes. The instructions can be found on page 9 of the owner's manual. My Jenn Air JGS8850 takes over 10 minutes to preheat to, say, 400*. Is this normal?

In a word...Yes !

10 min. is actually a really great preheat time. I have many customers who would kill for that kind of preheat, most are between 15-20 minutes minimum to 350 degrees celcius, especially with the introduction of hidden bake elements in the last 10-15 years.

Hope that is helpful,

Good Luck :)

Oven temp reads in C and I need F

To change the setting, press and hold the Cancel and Bake
pads at the same time for three seconds. A single beep will sound and the current setting will be
displayed (°F or °C). (If no change is made, the range will
return to the existing setting after 30 seconds.)
To change the setting, press the UP or DOWN pad. Press again to
return to existing setting. Wait five seconds and the setting
will be complete. From page 11:
