SOURCE: when i plug in the lead with 3 colours

S video is a 4 pin lead that supplies vision only. Because the cable is new doesn't mean it works. I would take the cable and camcorder back let the shop try to get it working or issue you a replacement especially if still covered by the guarantee.

To check the cable is a simple process involving the use of a multimeter. You are checking to make sure the leads have a resistance.

Fiat punto 2005 spark plug change

Hi Gerard, on a 1.28v Punto the plugs are on the back of the cylinder head tucked between the 4 inlet manifolds. The plug closest to the timing belt end (just next to the oil dipstick) is easy to find, the others are a bit obscured by the plastic housing that sheaths the injector wiring. Be careful pulling off the suppressor caps, they hang on quite tight so best use long nose pliers and NOT pull on the HT lead. Hope that helps. Andy

I have a Marshall channel/dfx footswitch. The jack plug has been chopped off leaving me with a red, blue and yellow wire. Can you tell me where each one is soldered to on a replacement stereo jack plug?...

NEVER trust colors... with an ohmmeter you can tell which is the common lead by testing... find the lead that has continuity to EITHER switch independently... It is PROBABLY the blue one... this will be the "sleeve" of the plug. The schematic documentation is so bad the jack wiring cannot be decipered as to which contact is the tip and the ring. HOWEVER once you find the common of the switches and connect it to the sleeve you have only two choices for the other wires so just try them.

You can also take the back off the pedal to find which color goes to BOTH the switches... connect that one to the sleeve. Try the other two wires for proper operation before final soldering.

My xbox 360 has 4 flashing red rings

hi, 4 flashing red lights is telling you their is a problem with the video lead, try switching the xbox off and unplug all the leads from back of xbox and also back of telly, then plug them back into the xbox making sure you push them in far enough, doing this removes static and should solve the problem, then plug it into the tv and give it a try.

if after doing the above it still dont work then the next thing to do would be to try a neighbours or a friends video lead just to make sure the problem is with the lead and not the hana chip inside the xbox,

you should find another lead will solve your problem if unplugging them doesnt fix it in the first place.

let me know how you get on or if you need further assistance ok

please rate this solution and leave a testimonial please as most users dont leave a rating or response, thanks

Won't agitate on any cycle

under the top cover but mounted to top cover find your two leads and trace back to control panel and jumper the leads to bypass switch and this will tell you either switch is good or bad!

On/off switch

Usually the power on button only has two wires. Then you have HDD led leads, reset leads, power led leads etc. These are all separate wires that fit onto separate pins in the Jpanel1 (front panel header).

Could be that the really old emachines grouped all these wires and made them into a plug to fit their own style motherboards.

If this is the case then that connector would not be on your newer motherboard, and it would have that Jpanel1 instead.

Hope this helps as I'm not very familiar with the old emachines.
