3pt hitch won't raise on my 4430 John Deere

Hydraulic oil really shiny. You can here oil pumping when trying to raise the 3pt. Changed oil filter already.

SOURCE: John Deere 4410 three point hitch will not raise.

Im sorry, I thought you said you changed the oil. My thought was that perhaps the hitch might have bled down during the oil change. That happens occasionally with the tractor I service at work.

I hope you find your trouble. If you could let me know the answer, id appreciate that.

SOURCE: Three point hitch on 2020 Jogn Deere Tractor will not raise.

In the worst scenario, the follower, or the piece that senses load on the control shaft , may have broken. Several causes could be the culprit, but happened on my 2520 . Fix requires total disassembly of final drive and differential to remove control arm and repair the follower. Good luck.

Springs, or valve seats in the control valve need repair. Or at least my wild guess, with some understanding of hydraulics, in general.

Three point hitch on 2020 Jogn Deere Tractor will not raise.


The three point hitch raises with hydraulic pressure. When the hitch will not raise the first thing to check is the hydraulic fluid level. If it is low add hydraulic fluid to the proper level as stated in the owner manual.
