Ipf750 paper jam problem

I am currently spending several hours loading paper from a roll. Every time I follow the directions and it goes through its procedure of taking the paper - moving it forward and backward then forward again then a semi-loud "clunk" sound and I get a paper jam issue. Any assistance would be appreciated.

SOURCE: paper jam

Same problem here. Paper Jam, but there is no paper jammed in it the printer?  Know it should say tire jam because I put it in my driveway and drove my truck over it. Problem solved. Stay away from canon printers.

SOURCE: Error E3 when no paper jam

MP160 PIXMA paper feed jam E3 error. I completely solved this on my Canon MP160 printer but it is a common problem and the fix may work for others such as MP130 MP140 MP145 MP150 MP170 or MP180. With the problem I had, the printer would make the usual motor whirring noises but would not feed the paper. The usual c-clunk sound that indicated the feed roller has been engaged was not there. The screen warning said to remove jammed paper and the printer showed an E3 error.

The problem was caused by the ink cartridge carrier becoming stcky on its track and not fully returning to the rest position on the right side (as viewed from the front). The fix involved taking the printer apart and lubricating the cartridge carrier track and the ramps that lift the cradle that rises to cover the printheads. Unfortunately you have to dismantle the printer and separate the scanner unit to get to the lubrication points. Its not a quick fix.

When you have the printer apart you will see a prominent white lever held by a coiled spring just behind the rest position of the ink cartridge carrier. The lever is actuated by the ink cartridge carrier when it moves to the right. If the lever is not actuated, the motor drive will never engage the large grey feed roller and the paper in the hopper cannot be fed into the printer. Make sure to also put some lube onto the lever at the point where it is struck by the ink cartridge carrier.

SOURCE: Printer says clear paper jam then press reset

Could there possibly be:

A) Paper jammed internally: Power Off. Open the cover and remove the paper or scrap carefully. Do not touch the internal printer parts. Close the cover. Power on.

B) Foreign objects in printer: Power Off. Open the paper support and confirm that there is no foreign material in the auto sheet feeder. (If so, remove it by hand or with tweezers). Open the front cover and confirm that there is no foreign material in the unit. Avoid touching the inner workings of the machine.

C) Reset the printer:

1. Turn the printer off with the Power button

2. Disconnect the data cable from the printer

3. Unplug the printer's power cord for approximately 10 minutes, and then plug it back in. Attach data cable.

4. Turn the printer back on.

If all of these suggestions fail, your iP1600 may require repair service. Please note: With the suggested retail price of $29.99 USD, repair does not seem cost effective - you could just go out and purchase a new printer.

I jammed the laminating machine, so I unscrewed and opened the machine...but now I don't know how to roll out the paper? Please help me find a way to take this out without breaking the machine!

Carefully try to turn the roller one direction and then the next. If they move, you will see the feed direction the paper loaded from. Carefully move the rollers in the opposite direction letting the paper unwind. Do not force the gears. Hopefully the paper is not fused to the rollers.

Flashing paper and power buttons

This error means jammed paper or a foreign object is blocking print head movement. Turn off the printer, press the adjust lever down to the lowest position, and pull out the jammed paper. Open the cover and remove any jammed or torn paper, or foreign objects. Then do one of the following:

Sheet Feeder: Return the adjust lever to the position. Turn on the printer, reload paper, and press the paper button.

Manual Feed Slot: See page 15 of your manual for loading instructions.

Roll Paper: Cut off the printed portion with scissors, then remove and reload the roll paper

Sir in our office the canon ir2270 jam the papers. plz send me the steps which we handle this problem

Please follow these instructions every time you load paper and you will never have paper jamming problems.
Make sure that the paper drawer is properly in place. Do not load paper of an irregular size into the paper drawers. Do not load the following types of paper into the paper drawers. Doing so may cause a paper jam. - Severely curled or wrinkled paper - Thin straw paper - Transparencies - Paper which has been printed on using a thermal transfer printer (Do not print on the reverse side of this paper either.) Fan the stack of paper well before loading it. Never place paper or any other items in the empty part of the drawer next to the paper stack. Doing so may cause paper jams.
Also to clear paper jam if you have the manual with you follow it OR you can go to this link and download the manual. It is equally applicable ti ir2270

The printer is not printing receipts and the error indicator is blinking on and off, what is the solution to this?

Flashing (approx. once every second): Out of paper
Flashing (approx. twice every second): Mechanical error (Buzzer sounds once.)
Most likely your paper feed is giving you the error. Remove the current feed, ensure there are no paper jam & insert fresh paper.
If
Mechanical Error :: Quick blinking Buzzer Sounds continuously for a pprox. 1 second :: Reset the Power
switch

Paper End Blinks.:: Buzzer Repeats a short 3-time sound twice at intervals of 0.5 second.:: Set a new paper roll.
Paper Near End Blinks.(Once a second) :: buzzer Repeats a short 3-time sound twice at intervals of 0.5 second.:: Set a new paper roll.

Mechanical Error : If the printer mechanism has a greater load due to a paper jam, etc., the buzzer will sound and the SEL/ERROR lamp will blink to stop the printer mechanism.
Paper End : If the printer has run out of paper, the paper sensor in the paper path near the print head will detect the end of the paper roll, turn on the buzzer, and blink the SEL/ERROR lamp to stop the printer mechanism. If the paper is inserted into the paper path, the paper will be loaded.
Paper Near End : If the paper is running out, the paper near end sensor will be activated to turn on
the buzzer and make the SEL/ERROR lamp blink. Even after the paper near end is detected, a command can be used to print by the specified number of lines. (See a description on the command for setting the number of print lines after paper near end detection)
Finally
Backup Data Clear : When the power is turned on, depending on the SEL switch operation, the
backup data in the input buffer will be cleared according to the flowchart on the next page.
To clear the input buffer, turn on the power while pressing the SEL switch.
The following messages will be printed.
"Clear Data in Buffer"
"Cleared Data in Buffer"
To print the data in the input buffer, simply turn the power on.
The following message is printed and the data in the input buffer is printed.
"Power Down(Data in Buffer)

My printer always tells me paper jam

Hi there,

the issue can be found when the paper feed rolls in the printer or the internal encoder strip are dirty.

Please try the following:

- open the backdoor of the printer
- also open the front door
- unplug the power chord without shutting down the printer
- now clean the paper feed rolls inside the printer with a soft rubber
- turn the rolls some times (10 tries or so) from down to up
- close the backdoor
- move the cartridge cart some times from one side to the other
- now you see a transparent strip over the metal bar
- this strip you can clean with cleaning alcohol
(be carefully! don't loose the strip or take too much alcohol)
- now let the printer dry over night (let it be open)
- next morning, close the front door
- press # and 6 at the same time and hold them
- keep them pressed and plug in the power chord
- keep them pressed until you see "semi nvm reset"

done

Hope it helps,
Henning

''place paper in drawer''

Sounds like a paper sensor ; A little black arm that senses paper tray is full, when the tray lifts into position. You might pull the tray and with a flashlight look for any broken parts. I have seen these break when paper jams are removed. This is a Toshiba 2860 correct?

MP150 Can't load the Paper

I BELIEVE MY PROBLEM IS THE SAME. MP 150 WILL NOT PRINT. IT REPORTS ERROR E 3 PAPER JAM. THERE IS NO PAPER JAM. I HAVE HAD SEVERAL COMPUTER KNOWLEDGEABLE PEOPLE LOOK AT THIS AND THEY SAY IT'S A MECHANICAL DEFECT. I CALLED CANON TECH AND SPENT OVER AN HOUR WITH THEM TRYING TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM. ESSENTIALLY WHAT THEY HAD ME DO IS TO UNINSTALL THEN REINSTALL THE DRIVER SEVERAL TIMES. STILL DID NOT FEED.CANON FIRST SAID THEY WOULD REPLACE UNIT N/C BUT......... I RECEIVED SAME AS A GIFT ON 12/15/07 SO DO NOT HAVE RECEIPT. THE DONOR HAS HIS AX RECORD OF PURCHASE IN DECEMBER 2006 BUT NOT THE ACTUAL SALES SLIP. CANON THEN SAID TOUGH LUCK BUT I CAN SEND IT IN TO THEIR REPAIR CENTER AND WILL BE CHARGED FOR REPAIR UP TO $40 OR TAKE A REFURBISHED UNIT INSTEAD. I FOUGHT THIS SO HARD BECAUSE I JUST BOUGHT AND HAVE ON HAND FOUR NEW INK CARTRIDGES THAT COST $70 THAT I CAN' T TAKE BACK TO OFFICE STORE FOR CREDIT. MY SUGGESTION IS TO UNINSTALL AND REINSTALL PRINTER DRIVE. IF THAT DOES NOT WORK, BUY AN HP REPLACEMENT AS I WILL DO. NO MORE CANON FOR ME....

Jams

First of all, the feed rolls may be very slick, try cleaning them several times with fantastic or 409. They are probably very smooth and just spinning on the paper.
The feed clutch or motor, depending on the model, may be bad and not driving the feed rolls.
The paper tray may not be lifting the paper stack to the rollers.

Load paper

You must feed it through the back of the machine while depressing the feed key. make sure it is the right size paper and hopefully there is not a jam in the machine. If so you can try sliding a business card through the slot where the paper goes and force any jammed paper out of the path.
