Question about HP Tablets & eReaders
Have 2 hp 4400 tablets under windiws xp sp3 plus original app reinstallation discs. One went down and spent most of the day reinstalling from discs and upating to xp sp3. downloaded successfully theHP quick launch buttons but none of the hardware buttons with pen prod activation (screen rotation and Q menu work). Looked in the BIOS bot no setting. On other working systenm there is a pen/tablet icon and clicking produces a tablet and pen dialogue box with a specific Tablet Buttons Tab This is missing on my reinstall. How can I get to be installed on my newly reinstalled 4400?
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Here's the link where you can download the driver for XP. Make sure you select the correct family. X41 has two types of unit. Tablet and regular laptop. Make sure also to choose the correct type and model. If you are not aware of this, it is actually at the white sticker at bottom of your laptop.

Have you turned on the Touch feature on Windows 7 yet? That could be the reason why your touch screen feature is not working.
To turn it on please follow this:
1. Open your Start menu and type "Touch" into the search bar. This will show a variety of options, including the "Pen and Touch" options. Double-click it to open the "Pen and Touch" window.
2. Check the boxes next to the "Use your finger as an input device" and, if preferred, check the "Enable multi-touch gestures and inking" box as well.
3. Click "Apply" to set the options and click "OK" to exit the window.
Hope this helps!
