Question about Apple iPod touch

Connecting my i-touch to a Wi-Fi connection

I am a computer dummy. So I apologize if this seems like a really basic and ridiculous question! I got a 16 G i-touch for Christmas. I can't connect to Wi-Fi applications when I'm in a Starbucks, but I can't at home. Our PC is a basic Dell and we don't have Wi-Fi stuff attached to it. Can I buy something to plug into my PC so our house is Wi-Fi capable? Thanks!!!

Yup....you'll need a small router. I use a DLink WirelessB unit. Ask your local computer store for a small router, just an inexpensive unit. DLink or Linksys are the best. If you're uncomfortable trying to set up a home network, get the Geek Squad to do it for you. If you have any more questions, get back to me and I'll try to help more.

How do you connect to app store when your ipod touch says cannot connect to app store invalid argument

Update the ipod software to 3.1.2 to address wi/fi problems, but dont update to the latest version 3.1.3 because the sneaky bastards at Apple used 3.1.3 to undo the jailbreak from Black Rain and Cydia. Theres no big improvement between 3.1.2 and 3.1.3 anyways.

Now make sure your ipod is fully charged and touch settings, wi/fi, slide the wi/fi to on, choose the same wi/fi you use to connect with your computer, and input the same user name and password, push the home button at the bottom of the ipod, then touch on Safari and the internet should be there for you.

Cheers old chap.

Cannot access home network anymore with the same password,on my i-pod touch screen.

Try paying Apple $5 and downloading the new update 3.1.1 you cheap bastard.  For some reason the Apple nerds feel sorry for your a.. and give you a free update to 3.1.2 after that.
Then try connecting to your wi/fi using the same password you use on your computer. The 3.1.2 update should address some of your wi-fi issues.
Some of you dumb as.es have tried to jail break your ipods and now your wi/fi and ipod is all fu.k.d up.  Don't try to cheat the system, cause the system in put in place to protect you from your own stupidity.  Remember, if it works then don't f.c.k with it.
