SOURCE: Lines on prints

Hi kids! I decided to have another go at sorting out my 'lines' problem and have sorted it. See if this might work for you: I had previously done the head cleaning via the printer itself - holding the central ink/paper black button for 3 secs. This time I went to the Epson 1290 window on my Mac and clicked on the utility box. Though the Nozzle check print came out fine I went ahead and did the head cleaning in this box. The next print came out almost perfect so I ran the Head cleaning again and it printed a perfect print. Hope this might work for you. Keep on trying! All the best. Trant

SOURCE: Epson CX4800 cannot clean the print heads

Please remove the cartridges from the printer. Take a dry lint free paper towel and gently wipe the contacts on the back of the cartridge (not the bottom from where ink is present). Wipe the contacts inside the printer (on cartridge carrier). Please snap the cartridges back into the cartridge carrier and please try to print a printer self test.

SOURCE: Epson R230 printing unwanted lines

The problem is waste ink around head sprayer (at (bottom plate of head). Turn of printer. Move head to center. Put wet tissue (with hot water) at head cleaning mechanic pad. Move head to parking position. wait till 10 minutes. check it. You can repeat 3 times.

SOURCE: Cleaning the heads on a Epson Photo R300

the heads are removable if you remove the back plastic cartridge holder first with pointed pliers then there are two screws at base accessable with printer intackted. you only have to set the carrage to cartridge change position to do this. once removed use a rubber tube on a cyringe filled with water and blow jets through several times and replace as removed....

Poor print quality, not fully black with white lines through text/images.

The white lines are caused by some CLOGGED ink-jets that are not spraying the ink onto the paper at the appropriate time.

Start the Epson printer-software, and run a "print-head-cleaning-cycle", to try to UNCLOG those ink-jets.

My epson CX3900 not printing in black. colour printing is very good i did many head cleaning with the epson utility but not help at all. my black ink cartridge is full, is there any other way of fixing the...

1. Have you checked the protective tape that covers the contact area on the cartridge.
2. this may be a clogged head on the black cartridge side of the print head even though you used the print head cleaning utility.
3. You may have to contact the manufacturer to see what they recommend as how to clean the print head properly.

Does not print properly. It leaves white lines across documents.

The print head is clogged.Try unclogging with cleaning tests on maintenance menu.If this not help better think about new printer, because repairing and cost of new print head is profitable.
