Question about Canon MultiPASS F50 All-In-One InkJet Printer
"mp service" applet won't start (for Canon Multipass)
Nothing on the system has changed, but suddenly this
morning I can't print - get messages that I need to start
the "MP Service" under administrative services. But when
I do, it goes halfway on the progress bar
says "Error 1: Incorrect Function."
You may have to install updated drivers from Canon:
The last time I did this they were for Windows XP SP2. Also, XP is now on SP3 and there have been many security patches lately.
Sometimes "MP Service" does not start, so you have to manually start it by going to ControlPanel, then AdministrativeTools, then Services, then MP Service. However, you seem to have done that.

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
