SOURCE: Hi i have a Pioneer

There are a couple of things that need to be checked.
1-Make sure tv is set to correct input and that all cables are snug
2-Check to see that the av receiver is set to the right input.
3-Verify that your source is powered on and connected correctly to the receiver. Is it wired HDMI, or does the receiver have to upconvert?
4-Make sure the resolution set on your source doesn't exceed the capability of your plasma tv.

If you can tell me what source you are feeding to the pioneer and how it is wired it would better help me in finding the source of the problem.
Let me know,
Thanks

My pioneer vsx815 is in protect mode i disconnected everything but the blue light continues to blink when i plug it in. What can I do to get it out of protect mode?

If you reboot the receiver with nothing connected to it except the power cable and it is still in Protection, there is an internal component that has gone bad.

How do you get a pioneer receiver model vsxD702s out of protect mode

Most of the time the receiver goes into protect mode because one or more cores from the speaker cables touch the chassis and cause a short circuit. Check if all the speaker cables are properly connected (twist them so no cores stick out)

Pioneer SC LX73 MC ACC Light flashing blue and unit will not power up have looked at fuses CheersBrad

Don't have any info on that particular model, but on other pioneer receivers that means the unit is locked into protect mode. It sensed something wrong with the amp and shut itself down to try and avoid damage. You can try and reset it. Most likely button combination is holding the 'advanced surround' button and power.

Fiber optics termination

If it is loose tube cable, than you can do it in two ways. First using SC SM pigtails, which should be spliced on each fiber (don't forget that you need to protect the splice itself and protect bare fibers puttung them in same cassete or tray or ....) or the other way using "break out system" which will give your bare fibers more protection but the SC connectors can be mounted directly on the fiber in this system. Cheaper and preferable way is the first one.
If it is tight buffered cable there is also two ways of termination. First, directly mount SC connector on a fiber (no need for break out system) or splice SC SM pigtails. Cheaper and preferable way is the first one.
Good luck!

Unit is in protection mode

Disconnect all speakers from it, then turn it back on. If the unit is OK, it should come out of protection. Turn it off, then reconnect one speaker and power on, repeat until it goes into protection, then you know where the problem is. Now disconnect the speaker wire that caused the problem but this time at the speaker. Make sure your wires do not touch, then turn it back on. If it stays on, it's a speaker problem, if it shuts off it's a wire problem. If you still need more help, post a comment and I will help some more. Hope this helps
