Question about Kodak EasyShare C643 Digital Camera

1 Answer

Pink screen I just bought this camera for my daughter for Christmas 2007 and suddenly last month the screen started coming up bright pink. At first it only obscured part of the screen but now it takes up the whole screen. She can't take any pictures when it does this. When it first started happening, it would only happen occasionally, and she could just turn it off, then back on and it would work. But now it's happening all the time and she can't use it for days at a time. Nothing I've tried seems to work, turning off then on, replacing the batteries, readjusting the batteries, nor changing the options dial on top. The funny thing is sometimes after a few days of sitting it will just start working again, then stop hours or days later. please help!

Re: pink screen

Back to store or maker with it. Check out the makers Tech support site but this needs a new camera replacement.

I just bought a Fujiflim Finepix L55 last week and now its screen becomes too bright that cannot see things clear, it comes suddenly, I try to reset all the setting but didnt help... the picture took still...

Its new, don't mess about with it, take it back to the seller and ask them to replace it under warranty. If you start to mess about with it, you may void the warranty.

Fuji Finepix F30 Suddenly takes only all pink screens (no image)

This sounds like one of two problems -
Either an LCD screen problem or a bad CCD sensor.
A LCD screen problem would indicate one of two of the following - it was cracked, or the cable inside is either damaged or moved out of the plug and need to be reseated.

A bad CCD sensor would show a pink screen on cameras, but would also show menus on the screen as well, do you see those? The CCD basically captures the image the lens is seeing and translates it to an image the camera can save. Generally the CCD can not be replaced separately from the lens and will require an entire lens assembly for repair.

Lcd scrren blank on 4 month old nikon s200 coolpix

Sounds like Nikon are just trying to get out of fixing it.
Have you read the terms of the warranty. If the screen is not working then it is more than likely an electronic fault and they are covered by the warranty. The only way the screen would not be covered is if it was damaged by the owner. The screen is part of the camera and therefore comes under the warranty, unless it specifically states that it is not covered in the warranty. Ask a consumer rights department. Don't take no for an answer.

Picture taken is so bright and with trasparent horizontal line

If the photo shoot out show white , the obscure (quality variation), and even horizontal line ( white lines), and so on over-exposure cases, even if the use of anti-tremor, set to default values are invalid, because the camera shutter fault.

It's need repair camera machine shutter.

Pink tint when shhoting in bright sunlight

Sane problem with C713, the view screen is dark and gives focus warning, then the pics come out with a pink tint. I believe it is the sensor or shutter problem. Can't get any solutions either.

Blurred and pink pictures

CCD sensor faulty ( it starts with 'noisy' picture and ends with no image whatsoever ). The sensor should be replaced free of charge since properly manufactured one should last you 15 + years.

Everything is pink

This looks like first stage of CCD sensor failure ( it is starting to output 'noisy' signal )gets worse so that the sensor eventually outputs nothing and you will get blank shots. Ask Pentax if this model with CCD problems is repaired free of charge since most manufacturers do it for nothing or only charge for labour to have a new sensor installed.
