I have the same problem with my Kenmore model 106. Occasional water on the floor every few months.  I do not have any ice on the bottom of my freezer.

Recently it got worse. When I used the water dispensor on two occasions water poured out within 20 seconds onto the floor underneath the freezer.  I figured it was related to the water dispensor so I locked the dispensor and didn't use it.   Later that night water poured out on the floor again. So I guess it's not related to the water dispensor.

    Any ideas?

Hi!!! You could have a plugged drain line. Open your freezer door and remove the bottom tray and look to see if you have ice on the bottom if you do then its a frozen drain line get a hair dryer and and apply heat to the bac evaporator fins and all the ice..sometimes also some sxs refrigerator model leak a small amount of water right after you use it..Good luckk..

Issue with Kenmore Refrigerator/Freezer

ok,1st check on fridge side toward upper back of the top and feel for air coming thru, and there is another one down possibly behind crisper .I had this same deal. Had to do total defrost,, put food in cooler,, theres two blower fans in these types of fridges,,one in the bottom back,, and one in the back of the frezzer,, I used an old hair dryer and let it blow warm to top interior of frezzer,, careful not to let any cords hang/drop in any water!!,ok once done dry out as much water as possible, turn fridge on set both controls to 4,when fridge kicks on do the feel test,, you may need to close the frezzer door, air should be felt near top inside of fridge,if so than shut fridge side and feel inside frezzer near bottom and air should be felt,, side-by-side need to circulate air from frezzer to fridge, then back to frezzer

I have an old Lady Kenmore washing machine that for the past couple of months now will not dispense water into the drum for a washing cycle. I have to manually fill up the tub with water and when the

You will need to replace the "water inlet valve". Se if you can get a part number off the valve. I will need that number or the complete model number to point you to the correct part.

My Kenmore refrigerator is not cooling properly. Freezer portion works fine but not refrigerator. Came on suddenly.

I had the same problem. The frezzer worked but the fridge was not getting cold. What I have learned is that the frezzer make the fridge cold, so if the frezzer is working then something is blocking the cold air to get into the fridge. Most likely ice. The air come in at the bottom of the inside of the fridge next to the frezzer. Pull everything out of the frezzer, then unscrew the plannel that runs along the back and you see if there is ice. If so turn frezzer off and dry out the frezzer. I used hot water.

I have a kenmore model 106 79207990 Water and Ice developed behind the frezzer tray I took the tray out and it appears that the drain was filled with ice. What seems to be the problem with the drain....

Hi,

The drain can get a build up in it over time or a foreign object can get in there and block the water flow.

To clear the drain:

- Turn off the refrigerator and unplug

- Locate the drain (it may be under all the ice) it is just below the cooling coils close the slots in the back panel. The drain hole is about the size of a dime.

- Use hot water and bath towels to unthaw the ice, DO NOT use a chisel and hammer as you can cause damage. A hair dryer may work too but be careful not to melt any of the plastic walls.

- Once the top ice is gone, use a turkey baster to flush down the drain hole until the water flows free.

- A small amount of spilled water on the floor is normal while doing this so have towels ready.

How do you get to the drain pan?

the pan is still at the bottom next to or below the compressor. access is from the back of the frig. but you might find it to be dry due to evaporation.[heat from the compressor] if you have water on the floor and have an ice maker, than that is your problem. a water line leak [possibly]!!!!!!

Keeps clicking on and off

Hello.
It sounds like your condenser fan might not be working, and causing your compressor to over heat. When you turn it down, the thermostat isn't demanding as much run time so the compressor isn't on as much, thus not overheating. Take off the back panel near the floor and see if it is turning or not. Also make sure the condenser coils underneath the frig are clean. If not them vacuum them out.
When it comes to the ice issue, you will need to be more specific. Where is the ice forming? And is it ice or frost?
