Question about Cell Phones
I have checked with many cell phone shops for repairing or restoring my numbers/contacts again with no success. It is really annoying as I have over a 1000 contacts !!.When I selected ( from contacts settings ) to display contacts from phone memory , nothing appears on the screen (although , like I mentioned earlier , when someone calls his name and number appear normally ).Many thanks
If you have an Android phone... the contacts are still there they are just not displayed. they may be hidden.
Settings or Display Settings or Contacts to Display.
(it may be different depending on your phone)
All emails that you have synced with the phone should be displayed. make sure you click each one and check all the boxes including "All Other Contacts"
Hit Save or Done if your phone asks you to.

Save hours of searching online or wasting money on unnecessary repairs by talking to a 6YA Expert who can help you resolve this issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
Here's a link to this great service

Maybe the conflict or Operator things !
I mean if you have same numbers in your sim card and phone memory at sametime phone can get conflict issues , because phone also got confused what to put on the screen !
F480 itself has an issue with colliding CALLER ID and NAME DISPLAY.As you know, name display shows up when you don't have the incoming call number. However, this device ignore CALLER ID and just show NAME DISPLAY...
SOLUTION:You need to call your operator and disable NAME DISPLAY ONLY.

Since you say that your computer can read your memory card, you could try puting a sim into your phone temporarily and then backing up your contacts onto your memory card...sony ericsson phones do provide you with that option. The procedure is: Phonebook--options--more--advanced--back up to memory card. Hope it helps, Rushil
