It depends on what video inputs you use.If you using RCA out on the player you must use RCA in on your TV,same with super video which is over rated.Output is fixed on most DVD players,on tv's check on the back and make sure the inputs match the ones on the player.

Insert a VHS tape, hear sound, no picture? DVD working fine, both sound & picture. What am I doing wrong?

Likely a damaged video tape got in the unit and blocked the video heads--once blocked no picture but sound will be the case---the heads can be manually cleaned if you know how---The real issue will be to locate which tape was in the unit when this happened--clear the heads and put it back and right back to no image......

Cleaning tapes are only slightly effective--most shops (if you can find one who even works on this gear) will not charge much to clean the heads.

Rainbow color effect appears when Samsung LCD plays Wii or DVD

Hello, I have a question which video inputs are you using for your DVD and Wii connections? The reason I ask is because this sounds like video distortion cuased by noise. If possible can you send a picture of the screen when it has this problem and send which video ports are being used? If it is noise in the video you may have a saw filter problem, or a decoupling issue. In any event I'll know more once you send those pictures and which inputs you are using for your DVD and Wii. Samsung TXJ2754 (27") DVD issues (Sound but no Picture)

Assuming you have picture on the TV when hooked up to cable, antenna or satellite I would take the DVD player to a friends house to see if it worked on their set (using your cables of course). If you can't get a picture on your TV no matter what, then it could be either the Jungle IC or EEPROM IC inside the set. Since it displays "No Video Signal" on the screen, that leaves out the High Voltage section of the TV. My main suspicion would be the video cable or settings on the DVD or TV.
