Question about Sony FD Trinitron WEGA KV-32FS120 32" TV
Our Sony TV has a blurry/3D picture, the color seems ok, we have gone into settings and that has not helped. Someone mentioned that the bulbs need replacing but we don't know where to start with that. any ideas?
SOURCE: blurry picture
I Just had the same problem with my Sony KP43HT20, was a blury picture with the red & green going bad.......My set had defective convergence IC's, they are known to go in Sony's..IC's run about $30 a piece. Good Luck.

that model number doesn't use lamps it uses cathode ray tubes projection tubes. the CRTs for that tv are probably no longer available.

I think that you will find the picture tube to be more expensive than a replacement TV, if it is still available (unlikely). That being said, it is also unlikely that the tube itself is the problem, The more common problem is the horizontal output transistor or the flyback transformer. Either part should still be available for a reasonable cost. Check with a local servicer for the part numbers and costs. These are common parts.

I found this solution from SONY's website.
The STANDBY light will flash if an issue is detected within the television. This can sometimes be resolved by simply following the steps below to reset the television.
I hope this helps.
