My PSC 2210 printer gives me an error message "CHeck color cartrige." I have removed and replaced the color cartridge several times and the message does not go away. The printer will not work or do anything. Any suggestions?
I hadn't replaced the old cartridge with a new one, but took it out and cleaned the connections (as recommended in another listing). I have since bought a new cartridge and replaced it, and the problem is solved. The old cartridge that caused the error message was an off-brand, and it was replaced with an HP. Is the printer that sensitive? Annoying if I'm forced to buy the really expensive HP ink.

I'll ask what may seem a stupid question, but did you remove the tape from the cartridge? If you forgot to pull that off, it would give you an error message.
hi It seems that the cartridge which you are trying is not ment for this printer can help you but for that you have to visit----http://tinyurl.com/ng46w9
Try resetting the printer to factory defauts. Hold down the # and 6 buttons. Pull out the power cable while holding these buttons down. Keep your fingers on these buttons and put back the power cable. It should now show (full/partial reset). Follow the prompts and setup all your original features. If this fails then you might have a hardware problem.(Carriage assembly or Cartridge Holder)
usually, the error is because it's not recognizing the cartridge. Check the contacts on the printer and clean w/ alcohol. Are you using recycled cartridges or filling it yourself?
