SOURCE: How does one replace the pin in a sliding compound

I"ve never had to replace one, but here's an exploded parts diagram that shows it has an o-ring on it. I'm guessing its a friction fit and maybe you can just knock it out with a punch or drift, or maybe twist it out with a pair of vise grips...but I don't have the saw in front of me, and can't remember if the back side of the pin is accessible.
Anyway, FWIW, see here.

I hope this information allows you to resolve this issue. If you need further assistance, please post back with a comment to this thread.
If I've managed to answer your question or solve a problem, please take just a moment to rate this post....thanks!

SOURCE: Dewalt DW707 compound saw

Did you sense an odd smell? Try removing the brushes, there should be two, it could be one is worn too short or the connecting wire is broken.

Dewalt 12 inch compound sliding miter saw

This saw has locking indexing to set bevels for 52 degree crown molding the other common crown angle is 45 degrees, the bevel setting needs to be other than where the locking indexs are for the 52 degree crown. Problem is that the bevel lock does not securely hold at the bevel angle required. Is their an adjustment to get this lock to hold tighter.

Make sure its a compound mitre and not just a mitre saw. The check in the back for a round knob with degrees marks on it, theres your adjuster.

Where can I find a parts list and specs for 10" sliding compound

With the model number, it becomes very easy to obtain the owner's manual for your compound miter saw.

Here's a link to the DeWalt web site and their online manual search. Just enter in your model number and you can view, copy and download a free manual for your saw. The manual will include the parts list and specs for the tool. If, by chance, you have an older saw that isn't on the site, you can contact DeWalt directly and request a manual and parts list.

Hope you find this Very Helpful and best regards!
