Message: DLL initialization failed. Trying to install webcam

I put the CD into my computer. It started loading, went on for several minutes, then I foolishly perhaps started playing spider solitaire and in a couple of minutes this box came up DLL initialization failed. msiexec.exe. Should I start the CD again and hope for the best?

I keep getting this error: Intel® Express Installer < The application failed to initialize successfully-(E0441203). Actually when installing the mother board drivers, there has been a power cut...

The failed install has messed Windows itself its integrated installer has been corrupted.
The easiest way to fix that is to reinstall, otherwise you will gonna have to manually delete all partially installed drivers, clean the registry and perform a Repair install.

STOP C0000221 erro de hardware desconhecido systemroot system32 ntdll.dll

You may receive one of the following stop error messages while working on your Windows XP computer.
STOP: C0000221 unknown hard error
Path\File_nameSTOP: 0xC0000221 unknown hard error
C:\Winnt\System32\Ntdll.dll (or another specific file or driver)
STOP: 0xC0000221 STATUS_IMAGE_CHECKSUM_MISMATCH
Path\File_name
Note: The error message may be discussed in many different formats-blue screen or message box. It depends on when the corrupt file was detected.
Similarly, you may receive the following STOP messages when a critical system file fails to load on your Windows NT and Windows 2000 computer.
STOP: C0000221 unknown hard error
<path>\<file_name>STOP: 0xC0000221 unknown hard error
c:\winnt\system32\ntdll.dll
Note: Some other drive may also be given in the message.
On Windows 2000 the following error message may display:
STOP: 0xC0000221 STATUS_IMAGE_CHECKSUM_MISMATCH
<path>\<file_name>
You usually face this problem when an incorrect driver for one or more hardware is installed on your system. For instance, the error messages described above are displayed when you install a millions of instructions per second (MIPS) driver on a x86 system.
Cause of the Error
This error occurs if the file given in the error message is damaged.
Your Windows XP operating system checks the following files for integrity during system startup:
  • All driver files, excluding the files that loaded using the system loader to start your system .
  • All DLL (Dynamic Link Libraries) on the system. These include, Graphics Driver Interface (GDI), User, Ntdll, Crtdll, Shell, Kernel and several other DLL files on the system.
  • On Windows NT and 2000 computers, all DLLs loaded in the Window server address space are also checked.
The problem may also occur if an Iomega Zip drive is connected to the same cable as your hard disk drive.
Resolution Method
You can resolve this issue by removing the corrupt driver from your computer and then reinstalling a fresh and healthy copy of the driver. You may need to use the Device Manager utility to remove the driver. It is recommended that you clean your registry with the help of a reliable tool, such as RegGenie to ensure that all entries related to the uninstalled driver are removed from the system. After you have completely removed the corrupt driver, restart your system and install a fresh copy of the driver on the system.
If this step does not resolve the problem, you may have to reinstall Windows XP.
It is recommended that you regularly clean your registry with the help of a registry cleaner tool and perform antivirus and antispyware scan using tools, such as Antivirus Plus and StopZilla to prevent such errors from occurring on your system.

GOOD LUCK :-)

RTHDCPL.EXE err

Error Message after Installing Security Updates 925902 and 928843 This afternoon (April 3rd, 2007) my Automatic Updates alerted me about a couple updates I needed to install, so I did. Upon rebooting the computer though I was confronted with the following error message
"RTHDCPL.EXE - Illegal System DLL Relocation"

"The system DLL user32.dll was relocated in memory. The Application will not run properly. The relocation occurred because the DLL C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\HHCTRL.OCX occupied an address range reserved for Windows system DLLs. The vendor supplying the DLL should be contacted for a new DLL."

Cause of Error Message

Turns out this error occurs when the Realtek HD Audio Control Panel by Realtek Semiconductor Corporation is installed. This is my built-in sound card on my computer.

The HHCTRL.OCX file that is included in the Security update 928843 and the User32.dll files that is included in Security Update 925902 have conflicting base addresses. When Windows loaded the HHCTRL.OCX file before it loads the User32.DLL file, the problem occurs.

The error occurs when the following third party programs or applications are installed on a computer with Windows XP Service Pack 2 installed.
Realtek HD Audio Control Panel
ElsterFormular 2006/2007
TUGZip
CD-Tag
Microsoft now has released a patch to correct the problems, you can go to the following link to download and install the patch for the patch :-)

The problem you are having is with Vista and it's little quirks..

Vista for some reason doesn't register VBScript. What you have to do is first of all find where vbscript.dll is, It's usually in C:\Windows\System32. It changes dependant on your version.

Next you need to go to start -> accessories and the right click on command prompt and click "run as administrator", next type "cd C:\Windows\System32" (replace the dir if its different for you) and then type "regsvr32 vbscript.dll". It should then confirm that vbscript has been registered and everything should work. This will fix a few installs.

Let me know how this works.
