Printer keeps printing the copy over and over and over
I ask for a copy on line and my printer just kept sending the same copy over and over. I shut down the printer and computer, and then rebooted and tried to print another thing and I still get more copies of the first copy.

Hello. Try to unplug the printer from the power outlet for about 10-15 seconds to refresh itself. If that doesn't resolve the problem, it might be software communication issue. You can uninstall then reinstall the software. If you're computer is running on Windows, uninstall by going to Start Menu > Programs/All Programs > Lexmark Series folder > Tools/Uninstall. Reboot pc. Reinstall software. If your using Macintosh, go in the Lexmark folder and Uninstall. Reinstall software. Hope this helps.
check hp for latest driver for your operating system, also check if there is a PCL and PS driver. PS is better for PDF. sometimes an adobe update can cause these issues so if you cannot find a driver update you could roll back adobe to see if that fixes your issue.
it seems that the computer was trying to send the data to the printer through the wrong port. i went to the control panel in windows xp, and selected printers and scanners. and added a new printer (manually) as al-1540 cs on usb port 2. it alerted me that the software was not signed, i proceeded anyways. it asked if i wanted to keep the original printer , i said yes. and the test page printed away. so i would suggest people with similar problem to keep adding multiple copies of the printer again and again on usb ports 1,2,3... etc till it prints the test page. use the copy no. indicated in the printed test page to do all your print jobs in the future.
If you are making copies or sending/receiving faxes Press Black Start or Color Start. Make sure your ink cartridges are fresh. Cartridges remain fresh for up to two years if kept in their original packaging, after that the ink may become clogged. Cartridge expiration dates are printed on the package.
while uninstalling the epson driver it will ask you for delete the setting or do you want to keep it. if you select keep it, it will happen how many times you install the driver. Check the printer settings in printers and faxes window, select printer go to printing preferences, page layout and check whether you give no. of copies to 2 there.
