Question about Dell Latitude C610 Notebook
Every time i flip it open it falls back how can i tighten it up or is there a way
Yes. Simply remove the hinge cover (above the keyboard). If you see a small notch on either side, you'll need a small screwdriver to pop it off by prying it and listening for the pops. It's scary the first time, but don't worry, it won't break, it's meant to be a beehatch to get off :P. But be sure your lappy is turned off, battery removed, and that the screen is as open as it can be before doing this 180 degrees!
Once it's off, you should be able to see the hinges, if they look loose, tighten them with jewel screwdrivers.
To put the cover back on, put it back on the opposite direction you took it off, and at a slight angle, press down moving from one side to the other until you hear it snap into place. The very end might take some leverage and muscle.
If this doesn't work, your hinges are getting old (and believe me dell ones are ****) and wearing out, and unfortuneately, only a book or smth can help you then. The only other fix is getting some dell lcd bezel hinges and replacing them (or sending it away to get it fixed), although it will be fixed for sure then.
