I agree with DCS13, brands of drives can be picky on the brands of disk they like to use.
Also, try slowing down your burn time. Slow it right down as much as you can - if you're not in a hurry slow down to 1x or 2x but not over 4x, you'll get much better quality burns where the disk will last much longer (years longer before the data can not be retrieved).

Try different media. I find DVD burners to be very finicky about the DVDs it will accept. Try 3 or 4 different brands until you find one that doesn't error out, and stick with it.

I keep having failed burn sessions it says "Power Calibration error" what and how can I fix that

Their could be several possible reasons and solutions for the above error, basically what is happening is for some reason the CD/DVD burning software is unable to determine the Optimum Power Calibration rate (a small pre-burn test to determine optimal laser power for writing), resulting a disk burn failure. There is no easy way to pinpoint the exact reason, so try all the possible fixes from top to bottom (easy to hard) and see what works:
Try using different brands of quality blank media, most common reason for such error's is cheap blank media.
Try burning at lower speeds (Highly effective).
If this fails try a different burning software

When I try to burn dvds in Realplayer Plus SP, the error "Internal Software Error" pops up & burning fails.. I paid money I didn't even havr to spare for this so I'm very frustrating over losing my...

try using a burning program wothy of the attempt.real player works off a basic set of drivers and fails on many occasions. if your burning from dvd to dvd use dvdfab version 5.0 or higher. this will right past any copyrights. or if burning from files use nero version 7.0 or higher. anything less is a waist of time.
