The machine was forced open when the panel got wet due to frozen line. The panel has now dried and operational but the lid latch is now broken. Are there replacements for this part/ section?

You have to use a putty knife. It is a pain in the neck. there are two clips where the top of the cabinet is there is a slot you can see the clip if you use a flashlight push theputty knife in and pull up. Then do the other side. They are directly in the frontt of the unit

Whirlpool cabrio washer, I try to start a load by pushing the start button, the lid lock clicks shut like normal but then the light starts blinking and the washer wont run.

If it's the lid locking light that's flashing, then the Lid Latch assembly needs to be replaced. It's latching, but the switch inside it isn't working and doesn't recognize that it's latched.
They have the part and a video on how to fix it at this parts company.

I have a Whirlpool Cbrio top load washer. it won't start it's cycle. Once it senses the load, the lock lid light flashes and it does nothing. can this be fixed?

I would say that the lock has failed. Either the lock itself or maybe the pin or latch that fits into it when you close the door may have cracked / broken. If the machine thinks the door / lid is still open, it wont let you start it.

Washer whirlpool cabrio wtw5600xw0 wll not start when I press the start button

You will need to replace the lid latch assembly. The control is not getting the proper response from the latch. Here is the part to order.
I also have a service manual available if you should need it.

I lost Power from a Thunder Storm and now my Whirlpool Cabrio top loader won't open

Hello,
Thats sounds as if the lock asm is stuck. As soon as the power went off the lock would have de-energized and should have opened.

Too check the lacth for sticking open the top by placing a putty knife in the seam between the top/front cabinet panel at the corners and push in to release the clips that hold the top to cabinet then raise top and see if something appears to be stuck on latch asm.

The load finished on my whirlpool cabrio washer (topload) but the machine won't unlock the lid?

you need to replace the lid lock. the latch probably broke in 2, and the broken part is whats keeping the lid closed. if you have clothes inside you can open the top by using a putty knife to release the front clips holding the top of the machine down. push each clip in and lift up. you will also be able to access the lid lock this way.

The lid will not lock, therefore the washer will not drain or spin

Hi.

Replace the door lock.

If the door lock is not at fault, then replace wiring harness between door latch and control board.

Enter model number here to find parts and diagrams.

Washer displays message of dl when trying to start washer

Hello bculwil Welcome

“dL” (Door/Lid cannot lock)
Indicates lid is not locked. Check for items caught in the lid
keeping it from closing. Press PAUSE/CANCEL once to clear
the code.

Or the lid lock sensor is faulty and needs to be diagnosed and replaced

No power

You have this listed under a Calypso washer heading. The Calypso's don't have a latch mechanisim on the lid. To you have an Oasis or Cabrio? Those are top load washers by the some of same manufactures that do latch. If so, you would have to push the two green clips between the front panel and the top of the unit towards rthe back while lifting up on the top. You can get your clothes out that way if it is one of these models.
