ok, great Paul. Thanks..we'll give it a try. I'll let you know :)

Hi Paul - I've cleaned with the C Cleaner and the Advanced systems. Yes, it seems to have sped up the computer a little - so thanks for that. But each time I log off or hibernate the computer and then log back on some time later, a red screen (rather than the typical blue) pops up with the word COMPAQ. It then goes into that logging in mode (where it says WINDOWS RESUMING), but the red screen then has this black hole in the center with led lines in an oval shape - almost like a black abalone with the various red/black shades. When it gets to my desk top, the typical blue is now shaded with bits of red near the top and thus I think is contributing to the slowing of the computer?? I'm not sure - do you think this means I need a new graphic card or can I do something else? Thanks very much for your help so far!

Hmm, the black abalone I spoke of above is like a marbling effect.

I spoke too soon - after the C cleaner and Advanced Systems Care - its still rather slow. The red screen still hasn't disappeared.

Try going to tools, internet options and click on delete browsing history. it may be a big help. only thing is you will have to type in your passwords again till it remembers all of them in the places u go to. works for me

I tried all that and still nothing. I even deleted a bunch of programs that this computer had when I purchased it and its not working. Should i be buying more RAM or memory? I'm not sure of the terminology ...

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

SOURCE: websites

This is a server or connection problem. If you can go to other sites just fine, then I'm going say server. It can also be caused by traffic, just like a freeway, an internet connection line can be slowed by the amount of users being routed through the same line at the same time. Be patient and I believe this problem will cure itself.

Loading time is determined by your internet service provider. You either need to contact your internet provider and upgrade to a faster speed or switch to a faster internet provider.

Doris, when you get Internet Explorer fully loaded, click on Tools, then Internet options, then Advanced, you should see a button that says reset > click this, and wait. close and relaunch internet explorer, see if it improves it. If not, then goto start > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs Look for any and all entries, that end with Toolbar, and remove ALL toolbars, then once this is done, reboot your computer, and see if there is an improvement. If there is not you need to have a professional clean your computer.

My faebook says Internet Explorer cannot display

Hi bubblezz,
Why don't you try another free Web Browser like Firefox, Safari, Opera or Chrome? See if Facebook loads in these browsers. Internet Explorer has a record of being inadequate in most cases. If you can access your account on the other web browsers, it may be a problem with your Internet Explorer settings.

Slow/Non-Existent Internet

More info would be neccassarry to determine if this is a virus causing this, or spyware, or just a newly installed program or windows update, try clicking start, all programs, accessories, system tools, system restore" and choose a point in time that the pc operated mormally, if this doesn't fix the problem, it may be virus related and more thourough support would be advised. The above procedure will not erase your data.
Please leave a good rating if this helps. Thanks
