SOURCE: Heatilator Pilot Issue

Any pilot adjustment would be under a large screw with a flat blade slot in it. There would be a smalled flat blade screw under it. Warning: Too small of a flame and your safety device won't work.

SOURCE: Heatilator gcdc60 won't turn off

From everything you tried to cover, the problem lies in the wall thermostat. Repairing it isn't a good option. Replacing it is fairly inexpensive to do. Just make sure you replace it with one of the same voltage. Or if it's a millivolt control valve on the heater, make sure the replacement is for millivolt operation.

Hope this helped you solve the problem.

Pilot will not stat lite on gas fireplace

You may have one of two typical issues:
1. the thermocouple is bad and needs replaced
2. the control module may be bad and need replaced.

A certified and trained service technician can come out and diagnose the issue within a few minutes. There are numerous little tests that can be done to determine and isolate the issue.

Is the gas stove Dovre model DV450, by heatilator, serial # GA384694 a B -Vent or Direct Vent?

Janny, generally with Heatilator gas fireplaces, the letters in the Model Numbers indicate whether it's a Direct Vent or a B-Vent. In your case, it's a Direct Vent. Had it been a B-Vent the Model Number would be BV450.

Hope this answered your question. Please be knid enough to rate my reply to you. Thanks.

Take a thin stiff wire and run it thru each flame port of the burner a few times each then if you can take a vacuum after setting it right on the ports-tap on the burner with a object while vacuuming it-if that does not work -is there a place that looks like a nut over each flame port? if so spray with a lubricant like WD40 to loose the nut and remove and clean flame ports that way and vacuum it then same way then

Take the fan power switch apart and clean the 2 point contacts. Also clean the 4 male studs that the wires plug into. That should solve the problem.
