How do I check my ink levels in my Designjet 110 plus nr Ink Jet Printer?

if the cartridge is full or empty, try another cartridge. If the cartridge has ink in it then run the cleaning program in its software and a test page from the control panel>printers> HP icon

Are you sure its exclamation mark?..
This warning message related to print head. (warn out). When you are replacing ink tube assembly use dummy print heads to do the priming (new ink tubes are empty & they have to fill with ink)..
Action: Remove all cartridges and print heads, switch on the printer follow the screen message.(Insert cartridges first next dummy print heads).once its recognizes cartridges then it switch over to print heads,insert dummy print heads. Once printer recognized the dummy print heads, printer will perform priming, during priming dummy print heads will filled with respective inks.(follow the display message)Remove dummy print heads & insert normal print heads. Wait till printer recognizes print heads, load the paper & wait till performs the calibration, once calibration is successfully done issue closed.
If calibration not successfully done, check align print out for which print head is not printed properly, replace it..
Pl ensure that minimum 50% ink levels required in cartridges before performing the priming. Best of luck..

Replace yellow print head...Might be print head dried up..

Check any Rat bite. most of the cases victim of rat bite.. if not open ISS,check connections,ISS PCB..might be damaged due to ink clogging..

With the pinter turned on, press the Power button, while pressing 3 times the "OK" button, then release the Power button. The alignment will begin automatically, so have a white paper sheet on the tray.

Unfortunately, unless you went through the "Storage" procedure, I fear your printer is no longer serviceable. You see inside the unit, inside the ink lines etc, the ink dries out, this will render the unit unusable. I am sorry, there is no way to rehabilitate them.

Clean the Cartidge carrier (metel pcb dots) with ISO profie and fix..Othe wise replace the Cartridge.

alot of printers now if the ink in the cartidge is the first ones placed in the system from the box are those that are only half full if not less depending on the maker but I know HP only fills their cartidges only just under the half way make but the printer sees it as a new cartrige because of the chips programming.

Have you tryed to turn the power of and let is sit for about 5 mins and turn it back on with the same result? (ushally a yellow error light is on)

Also if you can find the settings to only print in black and white on the printers properties that might also work as well for a temp fix.

But ushally once one ink runs out it likes to do that you where correct with the "is it because of the finished color cartidges.." either that or the carts all have finally expired.

Nice printer by the way.

But your best way to do it would be to replace the color carts and if not reasonable to do now there is also a way to reset the color carts so that the printer thinks that there is ink in them as well.
