Hi, Using registry cleaners can corrupt other softwares of your computer. If your computer is working slow, There can be following reasons:
***RAM memory
Make sure you have enough RAM(512 MB for Xp and 1 GB for vista)

Scan for spywares. You can download Malwarebytes from or Superantispyware from

***Third party softwares like Norton, mcafee, & various other softwares also slows down the system by running in background all the time.
For checking this:
>>Click on start >run> type "msconfig" hit enter >
On system config. window

>>Goto STARTUP tab on TOP. This list contains all third party softwares which runs in the background. You can disable or uncheck them. Keep only those ones checked , which you use frequently.Uncheck rest of them. Unchecking them does not mean that you are deleting them from your computer. It just means that you are stopping them from running automatically. You can run these softwares anytime by clicking on their icon.

Restart the computer

Once your computer comes back. It will give you a message for using system configuration utility. CHECK on "don't show this message again" and click on OK.

Why is there no change after dounloading SparkTrust PC Cleaner Pluse?

I don't know anything about Spark Trust. I suggest that you get rid of all but one tool bar. Down load C Cleaner. Follow instructions and it will clean unused files and cookies and temporary files. It will also fix problems with your registry. My computer is seven years old and runs like new. Regular clean up will help your machine run faster.

What's the best pc utility cleaner

First of all, be VERY carefull when using any type of cleaner. Do not assume just because you are paying for a cleaner utility that it is safe. I have seen PC's crash more than once due to system files being removed.
Second, you do not need to spend good money to clean up your PC. I have used "Malwarebytes Anti-malware" many times on many PC's without any problems. Download the free version, and run a full scan. Another utility I use that is also free is "CCleaner." Run the cleaner program to get rid of all temporary files, cookies, internet files, etc. that are cluttering up your computer. There is also a registry cleaner in CCleaner that works well, but I would only recommend running any type of registry cleaner as a last resort if your PC is still running slow. You may also want to run the defrag utility on your hard drive located under System Tools on your PC.

Dell dimension 2400 pc is extremely slow. did everything i know...delete cookies etc....still extremely slow.

Run your anti virus and anti malware programs. If you do not have a anti malware program go to and download a free anti malware program. It sounds as if you have a virus on your computer

My son's PC *always* needs to be booted twice to get it up in Windows XP Pro. For some reason it hangs during the first boot. Once it hangs you have to push'n'hold the power button to force shutdown, and...

You can do a bit of detective work and run MSCONFIG.EXE froma command prompt and go through that - particularly the boot, services and startup entries. The startup entries in particular - as from there you can select what is and what is started at startup - and a process of elimination can maybe help you track down the problem. 'Registry cleaners' may help - but often are more problematic themselves thn they are 'fixers'. You could edit the registry by hand, using regedit, but that is NOT recommended unless you really know what you are doing. Do note that if you change the start-up programs (i.e. change their enable state), you will get a warning at start-up that you are running a custom start-up using msconfig.
As a last resort, a fresh installation of Windows will fix things. Running a virus checker might also be a good idea.

I am owning Nissan Maxima 2000 odo 18500 , runs perfect but when I am going on highway speed more than 140 it's heating up more.Appreciate you suggestion. Thanks

Dear dotcomsha,

140mph is very fast and will run very hot which will keep your engine cleaner than running slow!
Are there any warning lights coming on?
If not don't worry you have to slow down sooner or later.
Just keep it well maintained!
If I can help in any other way please let me know!

My computer is very slow - not responding

Sounds like you have some spyware on your system.. Recomend that you download adawre (free from lavasoft), spybot (free software) and c-cleaner (also free)

Run c-cleaner first , then adaware (keep running till it is clean, sometimes it takes up to 4 times to get them all) -then run spybot, run it till it is clean (again sometimes it takes several runs to clean it all)
Then run c-cleaner again.

Try this first. If does not help, write back and we can go from there.

One way to re-set the password is to remove th CMO battery inside the laptop but this requires taking it apart. Leave it out for 5-30 min.

The non legit XP Pro problem is probably Microsoft's WGA (windows genuine advantage) update. I have been hearing from a lot of users that they get this warning even though they legally purchased copies of XP.

Do This:

Rename the two file wgatray.exe and wgalogon.dll in /windows/system32/
and reboot

There are lots of free malware removers and free online anti virus programs. Do a Google search.

Let me know if you need any more help.
