You need to plug the 3.55mm audio cable on to the computer (usually the green line-in) and on to your monitor's audio line in. Hope this helps.6b3b672.jpg

We need to verify if it is the monitor or the PC. Try feeding it with MP3 or audio source first to see if you do get the sound, try setting the volume 1/3 way up first. You are using mini stereo phone jack, right?
Please post back so we can guide you further.

Check the audio connections (input) to the monitor. If connections are perfact, then have a check your montior speakers. By using a multitester, check the continunity of speakers +, -. If you get beep sound, then your speaker is working perfact. If not getting any beep, change your monitor speaker. Sometimes the onboard audio IC get damaged. Try to configure that.

More likely to have bad DC filter caps just like the rest of failed VIEWSONIC as shown in my albums here, VG720 is similar to VG920.

Try the above link for Vista or XP drivers which may be used with Windows 7 in some cases.

The va1912wb came up when I searched under 1912.

This driver is available directly from the viewsonic.com site.

Uninstall the other driver if possible.

Plase check your power supply. I think you have a loose connection somewhere. Please check all connections including the place you plug into the wall.

This trouble could be internal to the monitor ... but I think your trouble is external.

Viewsonic Monitor sound problem

Hi check the sound cable hasn't fallen out or come loose from the back of the monitor. After this reinstall the drivers for the monitor you will be able to download them from viewsonic if still not working then the speaker jack or speakers are faulty.

Hope this helps
Thanks J
