50.0 fuser error

Hi,
SOLUTION: Follow the steps listed below:
  1. Turn the printer off and unplug it for 30 minutes; then turn the power back on.
  2. Try a different power cord. DO NOT use extension cords to plug the printer in.
  3. Remove the surge protector or UPS/CVT device and connect the printer directly to a power source.
  4. Try a different electrical circuit. There could be an issue with the line voltage going into the printer from the power source.
  5. Turn the printer off and unplug it. Let it sit for 30 minutes to let the fuser cool off. Carefully remove the fuser; IT MAY STILL BE HOT USE CAUTION. Examine the fuser, if any damage is apparent the fuser may need to be replaced. If no damage is noted reinstall the fuser, plug the printer back in and power it up.

Getting an error code 50.9 "fuser error" went through the steps in the help screen and turned printer off/on. Help!

Hello,

A 50.9 fuser error is one of the most common errors. If you get a 50.x error, you can try turning the power off and on and reseating the fuser but in almost all cases you will need to replace the fuser.

When I turn the Printer on, it will initialize and then display an error message "50.7 fuser error" and will not get to 'ready mode' for printing

1. Turn the printer off, wait 10 minutes, and then turn the printer on. 2. If the message persists, reseat the fuser. If that does not work, replace the fuser. To check the fuser, turn the printer off and remove the fuser. Measure the resistance between the fuser connectors. If it is not within the proper range, replace the fuser. If there is not continuity between the fuser connectors neutral and hot with the fuser removed, replace the fuser. If the problem is not related to the fuser, replace the engine controller board. http://printertechs.com/tech/error-codes/error-codes-50-59.php

HPLaserjet4P - printer service 50 -

Hi,

A 50 Service error is a fuser error. Turn the printer off for 5 to 10 minutes, then turn it back on. If the error is still there, I think your going to need to make a service call you can try reseating the fuser, but be sure to let the fuser cool completely before touching it.
Good Luck the HP Laserjet 4p is a great printer.

50 service flashing on display screen

If the display panel reads 50 FUSER ERROR, CYCLE POWER, turn the printer off for 15 minutes. This allows the capacitor that is responsible for signaling this error to discharge. If you don't wait 15 minutes you will continue to get this error even if you have replaced the fuser. If it continues to show the error, then you need to replace the fuser. It is easy to replace.
The fuser maintenance kit is about $119. on the web.
If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it.
Thanks, Joe

Hello

A 50 Service error is a fuser error. Turn the printer off for at least 10 minutes, then turn it back on. If the error is still there, you can try reseating the fuser, but be sure to let the fuser cool completely before touching it.
If you still have the 50 Service error after reseating the fuser, you might need a new fuser.
You can access the fuser by opening the rear door. It's located directly above the paper tray. There are two screws that hold it in place. Remove those two screws, and the fuser slides outs.
Hope this helps.
